Review: Key Ceres G

Today’s review is another from the Key line from Jopen.  A while back I reviewed the Key Nyx when it first came out, but I wasn’t too impressed.  I had heard good things about the Comet, so I was hoping Ceres G would be more similar to that than the Nyx.

The Run Down:

  • Toy Type:  In-ie or out-ie; Vibrator
  • Manufacturer:  Jopen
  • Materials:  Silicone and ABS Plastic
  • Size:  7.5″ total length; 5″ insertable length; 1.5″ maximum diameter
  • Price:  $62.99
  • Pros:  Very smooth silicone; No seams; Great shape; Works well for my g-spot;  Deeper vibrations; Strong for two AA’s
  • Cons:  Batteries are difficult to remove;  Added texture is difficult to feel; Not rechargeable
  • Intensity: 4.5/5
  • Volume: 3/5
  • Overall Rating: 4.5/5
  • Recommended: Yes, if you don’t mind the price

Review: Sutera Elite – Blossom, Baily, & Blee

Today I’m reviewing a newer line of “Luxury” toys from Lovers Package, the Sutera Elite line that includes Blossom, Bailey, and Blee.  I am not sure why they all have “b” names, it kinda weirds me out and I’m not sure why.

The Run Down:

  • Toy Type:  In-ie and/or out-ie
  • Manufacturer:  Sutera Toys
  • Materials:  Silicone and ABS Plastic
  • Size:  Blossom – 4.5″ in length, 1.25″ at the widest; Bailey – 7″ in length, 1.25″ at the widest; Blee – 6.5″ in length, 1-1.5″ in width
  • Price – Blossom:  $69.95
  • Price – Blee & Baily:  $79.95
  • Pros:  Soft material; Blossom has a nice shape
  • Cons:  Too expensive; Vibrations are not impressive; Likely not silicone
  • Intensity: 3/5
  • Volume: Blossom & Blee – 3/5; Bailey – 4/5
  • Overall Rating: 1.5/5
  • Recommended: No, the cost is not justified

The packages

The packaging for all three of these toys is pretty much identical.  Each toy comes in its own very sturdy cardboard box with a clear plastic window in the front.  The front of the package says the toy name and a few of the features of the toy, which are slightly different for each toy.  The ends of the box has the cute little Sutera logo and the back lists the toy name and a short little description and personification of each toy.  The back also has the company information.    Other than the text, the only real difference in the packaging is the color of the design that wraps around the box and the logo and some of the text, which corresponds to the color of the toy.

Blossom

I choose to review all three toys in one post because they are very similar with only some differences in size and shape.  All three are made from ABS plastic and what is labeled as silicone.  It is a very smooth and soft feeling material and has very little drag to it.  It also doesn’t collect lint or hair at all.  Each also seems to have a foam like material inside, except where the motor is, as they are quite squishy and flexible, though since Blossom is the smallest, it is not as squishy because the motor and control pad takes up most of the toy.  I do quite like the feel of the material, but they do have a bit of a rubbery scent to them, but only if it’s close to your face. I also tried flame testing them and the material was left a little discolored, but it did not catch on fire.  I also found that after using one of them internally once, that I had the same itchy sensation I get from latex exposure.  The lube is one that I have used frequently with no issue, but I also have not been able to re-create the feeling, so I am not sure.  Most likely they are a silicone blend, so I would recommend sticking with a water-based lube just to be safe.  For cleaning, you can use soap and water or toy cleaner, but I would not recommend submerging the toys, because they do not have an o-ring.  They are also decently easy to clean, though there is a seam between the plastic and the silicone that may require special attention or the use of an old tooth brush.  The Bailey also has some extra ripples on the back that you will have to pay a bit more attention too as well.

sutera elite bailey vibrator

Bailey

The shape and size is where each of the toys differ.  The Blossom is the smallest around 4.5″ in length and  1.25″ at it’s widest.  It narrows to a bit of a point and has a bump that dips down to the nose of the toy and on the back it is fairly flat and broad with a dip in it.  I found this toy better suited for clitroal stimulation, as it doesn’t have much length for inserting.  You can use the smaller point on the front or the broader back.  I did find that the dip in the back is a good resting place for your finger which kind of allows it to act as a vibrating finger extension.

The Bailey is what I would consider the g-spot toy of the line.  It comes in about 7″ in length and 1.25″ in diameter.  The front of the toy is a broad flat surface until it rounds out and curves up to a slight point.  The back has a broad head that comes to the point at the tip of the toy, with small ridge lines on the back.  I could not feel these when inserted  but looking at it kind of makes it look like the back of a cobra’s head.  For me, the Bailey just doesn’t work for g-spot stimulation.  The point is only slightly curved and much too small.  You could also use it for external clitoral stimulation with a slightly longer reach than the Blossom.

sutera elite blee vibrator

Blee

The last of the line is Blee.  Blee is the traditional style vibrator of the bunch and comes in at 6.5″ long and tapers from 1.25″ to just under 1″.  It’s a straight style vibrator and it has a small amount of texture, but it is only for looks as I could not feel it at all.  There is nothing particularly exciting or interesting about the shape, but it would be well suited for someone that is looking for a slimmer toy.

Each toy runs on two AAA batteries and has the same control panel   There are two buttons, one that turns the toy on and the other that simply cycles through the settings.  The batteries are inserted into a slide off panel and there is no o-ring of any type, so I would not recommend submerging these toys, but I think it would be safe to say they are splash proof.  All three toys have the same vibration settings and, even though they are slightly varied in size, they all have the same vibration intensity.  On high, it’s still a medium level vibration at best, and more on the buzzy side which is about what I would expect for two AAA’s.  The vibrations in all three toys are also focused in the end, which is where it feels like the motor is located.  There are three levels of steady vibration and four patterns.  The vibrations are not overly impressive.  The toys are decently quite, they probably would not be heard through your average door, however the Bailey has a louder rattle to it.  I didn’t hear it so much when inserted it, but outside it is a deal louder than the other too, but it seems more like a defect than it’s desire.  There seems to be something loose and when you squeeze in the right spot it stops making the extra noise.  It also stops when it’s held upside down, which is kinda strange.

Overall, I am not fond of any of the Sutera Elite line.  The Blossom is probably my favorite, based on the shape, but the vibrations leave a little bit to be desired.  My biggest issue is the cost.  Blossom is the cheapest at $70 while the other two are $80.  For something with un-impressive vibration and runs on two AAA’s, that is waaaay to much.  They are marketed as luxury toys, but I do not think that they are silicone, or at least not completely silicone.  Given that, I would have to say pass on all three of these toys.

Review: X1 Orgasmatron

If you’re on FetLife, you’ve probably seen the ads, maybe.  I click the add sometimes when something looks weird or interesting and one day I clicked an ad for X. Treme Orgasmatronics and looked at the X1 Orgasmatron.  I think I fell in love with them the moment I looked at the page.  Their tag line is “Less pants, more science!” I mean what isn’t to love?  They even have a page on the physics of this toy and several videos that talk about the physics and why they claim it’s awesome.  So of course I went to the contact form and sent them an email asking if they’d send me one to review.  After all, I am an engineer too, who better suited for the job right?  And as it turns out, they were very excited to have me review one!

The Run Down:
