Review: Afternoon Delight Kit

Thanks to Good Vibrations I have another lovely little kit to review for you today!  Today I’m going to be reviewing the Afternoon Delight Kit.  Now this kit comes with a bunch of differnt products:  Lust Dust, Knead Me Massage Lotion, Smooch Me Lip Lube, a sample of Please Cream Lubricant, a sample of Please Gel Lubricant, and a silver bullet.

The Run Down:

Inside the kit

The kit comes in a small plastic box, sort of like a Chinese take out box, but it’s clear and much smaller.  It’s sort of discreet, you can’t really make out much that’s in it, and it’s a cute little design.  This could easily be tucked away in a drawer if you wanted to keep everything in this little box.

When you open up the kit you can see various products stacked in it, but still, nothing screams sex and you can’t even see the bullet.

Magic Touch Bullet:

The Run Down:

  • Materials/Ingredients:  ABS Pllastic
  • Size: 2 1/4″ long, 5/8″ wide
  • Recommended Use: Give a little buzz to any area of your choice
  • Pros: Small; Easy to clean; Simple push button
  • Cons: Only one speed
  • Intensity: 4/5
  • Volume: 2/5
  • Overall Rating: 2/5
  • Recommended: Kinda

The bullet

The bullet that comes in the kit is just your standard bullet.  It’s 2 1/4″ long and 5/8″ in diameter.  It is made from a hard plastic, most likely ABS, so it is very easy to clean.

Like most wireless bullets, it has a simple push button.  I was hoping for more than one speed, but this is a very basic bullet.  It is water proof though (as you can see from the black rubber o-ring) and takes 3 watch batteries.

Overall, there’s nothing really special about the bullet.  It’s fairly strong and pretty quiet, it’d be good to tuck away in your purse to take with you and whatnot.

Smooch Me Lip Lube – Pomegranae Mint:

The Run Down:

  • Ingredients: Candelilla wax, sweet almond oil, flavor oils, vitamin E (tocopherol)
  • Size: 1oz
  • Price: $6.50
  • Recommended Use: Lube up your lips, whether you need it for a moisturizer or for kissing and oral fun
  • Pros: All-natural; Vegan; Good smell and taste; Moisturizing; Long lasting; Not over powering
  • Cons: None
  • Overall Rating: 5/5
  • Recommended: Yes

The lip lube

I was very impressed that the kit came with a full sized (1 oz tin) version of the lip lube!  I was very happy with the lip lube.  The flavor I received in my kit was Pomegranate Mint, but it also comes in Cherry Vanilla, Cinnamon Spice and Mojito.  The balm is all-natural and vegan and is a standard white firm lip balm. It also smells and tastes very good, the taste is very light though, so it’s not over powering.  The only thing was I didn’t notice any mint to this, but that could just be me.  The balm itself is very light and smooth on your lips and not sticky at all.  It also has vitamin E on them to moisturize them.  You also only need a small bit to make your lips feel silky smooth and taste lightly sweet.  This is not a product for oral sex or sex.  It is a lip balm (not the down stairs ones either).  There is nothing in the product that I think would irritate you, but it does have several oils in it which do not mix with latex condoms.  Oh and it lasts on your lips for a long time, granted I haven’t gotten into a passionate make out session with it on yet, but… yeah.

Overall, I love this balm.  Even outside of the kit a tin is only $6.50 and it’s a fairly large tin so it will last you for a VERY long time.  I’m sure the other flavors smell and taste just as good, I’d be interested to try to Cherry Vanilla!

Lust Dust – Strawberry Chocolate:

The Run Down:

  • Ingredients:  Cornstarch, Sucrose, Flavor
  • Size:  0.7oz
  • Price:  $8.50
  • Recommended Use:  Dust any body party that you want to taste a little extra sweet
  • Pros: Full size container;  Good smell and taste;  Not over powering
  • Cons: Not safe for female oral sex
  • Overall Rating: 4.5/5
  • Recommended: Yes

Lust dust

Edible dusts are usually hit or miss I think.  The other type I have tried was very gritty and felt like a heavy cornstarch on the skin.  Lust dust is much different. Again you get a full size container of it, which was nice.  It also comes in two flavors, Strawberry Chocolate, which I got, and Honey Vanilla.  Now I’m not much of a strawberry fan, and fake chocolate products just tend to… not be good, so I didn’t have my hopes up for this.

When I opened it up I smelled it and it has a pleasantly sweet and fruity smell, I didn’t notice any chocolate scent.  It comes with a small puff applicator that you can use to apply it wherever you like.  The powder is very fine and brushes on smoothly and doesn’t leave any white residue on your skin.  It also doesn’t feel sticky on the skin, which is good. Even after it’s been licked off it doesn’t feel sticky.  It has a very light fruity taste with a hint of a tootsie roll flavor.  Though, because it does have sucrose in it, I would not recommend dusting your labia with it.

Overall, this is the best edible powder I have found.  I haven’t had the chance to have a partner lick it off me to get their opinion, but it is very fine and doesn’t feel like you’re licking baby powder off someone.  It has a light sweet taste.  I would probably prefer the Honey Vanilla, but the Strawberry Chocolate isn’t too bad!

Knead Me Massage Lotion – Morning Dew:

The Run Down:

  • Ingredients: Water, Emulsifying Wax, Vegetable Oils (Walnut, Almond, Sunflower, Safflower), Cetyl Alcohol, Octyl Palmitate, Caprylic / Capric Triglycerides, Dimethicone, Vitamin E Acetate, Aloe Vera Gel, Cyclomethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Parabens (Butyl, Ethyl, Methyl, Propyl), Sodium Citrate, Tetrasodium EDTA, FD&C Blue No. 1
  • Size: 2, 8, or 16 oz
  • Price: $8.00, $16.00, or $26.00
  • Recommended Use: Give your partner a soothing creamy massage
  • Pros: Smells wonderful; Moisturizing; Rubs in quickly
  • Cons: Not latex compatable
  • Overall Rating: 5/5
  • Recommended: Yes

Kneed Me Massage Cream

I was very excited to get the Morning Dew scent in the massage lotion.  I had received the same scent in the Massage Oil in my Night of Romance Kit and I loved it.  You do get a very small sample of the lotion, so it is probably only enough for one use.  The lotion comes in several scents English Lavender, Pomegranate Mint, French Vanilla, and Morning Dew and can be bought in 2, 8, and 16 oz bottles.  The sample bottle I received was only 0.5 oz.

It looks and feels like a standard lotion and it rubs in quickly leaving your skin feel soft and smooth.  I also think this scent smells wonderful; very pretty and relaxing.  It does have parabens in it though, which may irritate some people. However it does have Vitamin E and Aloe Vera Gel and several oils which are good moisturizers and help lock in the moisture. This is a lotion though, not a lube, and it is not latex compatible because it contains many oils.  Though as far as massage, I think an oil would work better in allowing hands to glide over the body.  A lotion will give a different feel to a massage.

Overall, I love this lotion.  It is a little pricey as far as lotion goes, so it may not be something you’d want to soak in, but maybe something to smell nice and be extra soft for a special date or when you need to feel a little prettier.  My guess is the Morning Dew is the most popular since it’s the only one sold in a 16 oz bottle. I’m sure the other scents smell wonderful as well and I’d love to try the English Lavender.

Please Cream Lubricant:

The Run Down:

  • Ingredients: Deionized Water, Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Isopropyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Cellulose Gum, Polysorbate-60, Immidazolidinyl Urea, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Lactic Acid, Disodium EDTA
  • Size: 2, 8, or 16 oz
  • Price: $8.00, $16.00, or $26.00
  • Recommended Use: It’s a lube, nothing too special
  • Pros: Slick and not sticky; Latex and toy safe; Paraben and glycerin free; Not too runny
  • Cons: Doesn’t smell pleasant
  • Overall Rating: 2.5/5
  • Recommended: No

Please Cream and Gel Samples

I have never used a cream type lubricant, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect with the Please Cream Lube.  The lube came out of the pack looking like well… cum, but not the same consistency.  The cream lube is a light translucent white and is fairly slick and not sticky.  Like most water-based lube it does not last horribly long.  It’s also not runny so you don’t have to worry about it running all over you before you get it where you want it.

The lube is glycerin and paraben free and it is water-based so it is safe to use with condoms.  I did notice it had a weird kind of unpleasant smell to it, kind of like a hair gel.  Other than that than it’s not a very outstanding lube.

Please Gel Lubricant:

The Run Down:

  • Ingredients: Deionized Water, Propylene Glycol, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Lactic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Imidazolidinyl Urea
  • Size: 2, 8, or 16 oz
  • Price: $8.00, $16.00, $26.00
  • Recommended Use: It’s a lube, nothing too special
  • Pros: Latex and toy safe;  Glycerin and paraben free; Very slick and long lasting
  • Cons: Unpleasant smell; Can get a bit sticky when it dries
  • Overall Rating: 3/5
  • Recommended: Yes

The gel lube has a much shorter list of ingredients, which makes me partial to it from the beginning.  Like the cream lube it is latex and toy safe as well as glycerin and paraben free.  The gel is much much thicker than the cream.  It is very slick and again not sticky.  It also has the same hair gel kind of smell to it. I would choose the gel lube over the cream lube, but that’s just my personal preference.  It seem last longer, though does get a big sticky when it dries.

So the kit overall is very nice.  I like it especially because it gives me a chance to try a bunch of different products.  Though I was not a huge fan of either Please lubes, the Lust Dust and Lip Lube are pretty awesome and I really need to invest in some of the Morning Dew Massage lotion.  If you don’t want the whole kit but just one or the products I’ve talked about here, there are links through out the post where you can find them.  Thanks to Good Vibrations for sending me this product to review!
