Side of the box

This is one of the first toys I’ve gotten that actually comes in a box, and it was much larger than expected, toy included. The box itself shows the product and points out its features.  It’s really not the most discreet box, but that’s not a big concern of mine.

Venus in my hand

Now on to the toy itself.  Like I said it was a bit larger than I was expecting, as I was thinking it would be a small clitoral vibe.  Over all this toy is a bit over 7″ long and around 1″ at the widest.   However, it’s not made for insertion.  I suppose you could, but the features on the end might make it a little difficult or uncomfortable.  I have not tried to insert it.  It’s also not an anal toy because there is no flared base.  The entire toy is made from ABS plastic and has a velvety coating, which I do like.  It’s also pretty simple to clean, just wash with mild soap and water or toy cleaner.  Lastly, as it say son the box it is Phthalate free.

Cupped side

The main excitement over this toy is the two different shapes on the end.  The first shape is an indented oval.  I suppose it’s supposed to be slightly clit shaped. This may work for some people, but it just didn’t really work for me.  Maybe it was just too deep for my clit and I just didn’t get much out of using it on this side.

Pointed nub

On the opposite side there is a little pointed nub that sticks out.  This is what would make insertion very difficult and possibly painful I think.  However, it’s great for pin-point clit stimulation.  I much prefer this side, or even one of the non-shaped sizes, just cause I get a more direction vibration.

As far as the vibration on this toy goes, it’s one of the most unique I’ve seen.  It’s not the strongest, but it does give a very deep rumbly vibration.  The thing that excited me most about this toy was when I first turned it on to see what it does, it actually shakes back and forth quite visibility, and not just the standard fuzzy look they get.  Being a geeky engineer the first thing I thought was “Oh my god it’s vibrating at the resonance frequency!”  Yeah, if you don’t know what it means don’t ask, or look up some MythBusters.  But this toy could almost be considered an oscillator.  It has a wide range of speeds, and like most vibes the high is a little loud, but for the strength it still seems pretty quiet.  It’s not something I’d be nervous using with thin walls.  Another thing that amused me was if I turned it on and stood it up on its base it would spin in circles.  Also, when it’s held lightly it wobbles quiet a lot, but when it’s squeezed it forces it into a deeper type of vibration that penetrates farther.

End cap and batter compartment

As far as controls goes, it’s powered by two AA batteries and is a standard dial base, though the dial does turn a little bit to easy.  If you’re using it on low it can be easy to knock it back off.  It also has the lovely O-ring that makes it waterproof, as it says in the name.  The end cap can also be a little tricky to get on.  It’s not a standard screw on cap, but more like a pill bottle.  However, I didn’t notice at first that the notches that go down are different sizes, so it has to go on one certain way, which can be a bit of a pain when you take the batteries out and all.  The only thing that really concerned me about this toy, is after it had been on for a while, 10-15 minutes, the end cap becomes very warm, so I wouldn’t recommend using this toy for a long time.

Overall, I love this toy and it’s quickly becoming a new favorite.   It does concern me that the end cap gets warm, but I tend not to use it for longer than 15 minutes or so.  I would recommend this toy for anyone looking for a good clitoral vibrator.  It’s waterproof and small enough I think it could be used between partners.  It’s easy to clean and has two heads (plus plain not shaped sides!) to fit whatever you’re craving.  So definitely hop on over to Good Vibrations and check it out!  And again, another big thanks to Good Vibes for sending it to me!
