The box

The packaging for the Breast Exam Cream is just like the other Blossom Organics products I’ve reviewed.  It’s a very cute purple and white design with swirls and flowers.  I also like the the box the jar comes in is *just* the right size for the jar;  there’s not a lot of extra room.    The box and jar both say “Breast Exam Cream” so they’re not horribly discreet,  but they’re pretty small print so it’s not too bad.    The box does talk about how it is 100% free of hars ingredients and made from natural pure organic ingredients.   The jar is a small 1.7 oz plastic jar that’s a clearish white with a silver lid.   The ingredients are not listed on the jar, they are listed on the box,  but it does listed instructions.   Both the jar and box also ahve the “female friendly” seal on all Blossom Organics products.

The jar and self exam guide

Now the first thing I was impressed with was just how full the jar was.   Usually there is a bit of space between the contents of a jar and the lid.   This jar is filled to the lid.   They do not cheat you out of a drop with any extra space.   The next thing I noticed is the color.   It’s a very natural color and the color really screams “coco butter” to me,  though there doesn’t seem to be coco butter listed in the ingredients list.   I don’t find the color to be unappealing though.   The cream also smells like coco butter to me.   At I thought the smell was much too strong,  but after a bit I got used to it.   It’s not a smell I want to put up close to my nose,  but it’s not as overbearing as it seemed at first.   I know the ingredient list is very long and a bit intimidating,  but the ingredients in the cream are all natural.

Showing the cream itself

In use,  the cream performs very well.   It has a nice creamy texture and is not runny.   It smooths over the skin easily and it allows your fingers to easily slide over your skin.   It rubs in fairly quickly but it lasts long enough for a self exam.   After you rub it in it leaves you very soft and smooth.   Included with the cream is a small sheet that explains how to do a self breast exam.   I think this is a great guide that explains what you should look for and how to actually perform the exam.   The jars do say that this product is not intended to diagnose,  treat,  cure, or prevent any disease.   It is only an aid to help you find any changes that you can then discuss with your doctor.   Another great thing about the product is that for every purchase,  Blossom Organics donates $5 to the Breast Cancer Fund,  so they give you two ways to help protect yourself.

Overall,  I do really like the Blossom Organics Breast Exam Cream.   It’s a good aid to doing your own self exam and it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.   You can use it as a hand cream, but it would be a bit pricey for that.   I think for a monthly breast exam it’s a nice little perk for your boobies.   Plus it’s all natural and has lots of good for your skin ingredients.
