Review: bWarm Massage Candle

Ahh, you guys know I’m a sucker for a good massage and anything that can enhance one.  What can enhance a good massage?  Well something to the likes of the bWarm Massage Candle I received from PinkCherry.com.

The Run Down:

The box

The bWarm candle comes in, from what I can tell, the standard bSwish style box.  I have a few items from them and they all come in a black box with an artistic shot of the same woman.  She isn’t naked, but is wearing very little so the box may not be the best to keep sitting out.  They are very sturdy boxes though and you could use it to store your candle or other items.  The candle sits in a plastic insert so it is fairly secure.  Since this is a soy based massage candle, it melts at a lower temperature than regular wax so be wary if you order this product during the summer or just live somewhere hot.

The candle itself is in a small flexible container.  There are three different scents to choose from and each scent has its own color which also matches the color band on the packaging.  The scent I choose was the Rose Patchouli.  To me it has a very strong flowery smell, I’m not sure if it smells like Rose or Patchouli, but it is a very nice feminine scent.  I think the smell may be a little too strong for some, but I found that it smelled nice while burning and while both giving and receiving a massage.  Adonis’ opinion on the smell is that it was not too strong and could help set the mood for your massage.

The candle itself

The shape of the container is also nice.  It has a long pointed side that acts as a spout to pour the melted wax onto your partner.  The container is some sort of rubber, so you can squeeze it to narrow the flow of wax.  A direct flame will turn the container black, but it easily rubs off.  The only thing I did not like about the spout is that it is a bit to long an the wax tends to start to re-solidify along it if you don’t pour it quick enough.  Both of us found though that if you did pour it very quickly, the wax was too hot.  Not so hot that it burned us, but hot enough for a split second before it cooled off that we felt uncomfortable.  This was pouring it as soon as we blew out the flame though, so I recommend giving it a few seconds before applying it.

As far as how the wax works in a massage, it spreads nicely over the skin and works for a long lastling massage.  It also works into your skin very well and I found it left my back very silky smooth.  I also didn’t notice that it caused any pimples either.  All of the ingredients in the candle are natural, except for the added fragrance, and it does contain Vitamin E which acts as a moisturizer.

Overall, we both really like the bWarm Massage Candle.  It’s a cute candle that I don’t feel you need to hide away  It burns well and it will last for many massages.  Also, if you found that you did not like to use it as melted wax, you could take a spoon or knife and cut out small bits and use as a massage bar.  It melts at body temperature and will still give a nice smooth massage.  So head on over to PinkCherry.com to pick up a bWarm Massage Candle in Rose Patchouli, Amber, or Fig Wood!
