The package

The package is fairly standard for CEN and I’m not sure what to say about it.  It’s a plastic box with the toy displayed through clear areas in the box.  I don’t like these kinds of packaging because the plastic tends to crack, so it’s no good to store the toy in.  Even though you can see the toy, some people may not know what it is and it just says “Personal Massager”.  The attachments look a little odd, but I don’t think people would question it too much.  Along with the package, it comes with a fairly detailed set of safety instructions that covers how to clean it as well as how to use it.

The wand in my hand

As far as the Inspire itself, is about 7″ in total length and is made from plastic.  It has two main components, the handle and the head.  Everything is plastic and where the head attaches to the handle, it’s a fairly flexible in all directions.  The handle is slightly curved so that it fits in your hand.  I found it to be a bit thin though and would like a bit more to hold onto, but I have fairly large hands.  I also think if you hold it upside down though (like you would to masturbate), it feels a little awkward.  Since this is a corded vibrator, you need to be a little careful when cleaning it.  I would recomend using a damp cloth or toy wipes and be sure to unplug the toy before cleaning it and make sure it is completely dry when before plugging it back in and turning it on.It comes with three silicone attachments.  They are silicone and fairly firm, but .  It’s also very soft and matte and I do like the feel of it.  I don’t feel like they attact a lot of lint and you should use only a water-based lube with them.  Since these can be removed, they are much easier to clean with soap and water, toy cleaner or wipes, bleaching, boiling, or tossing them into the dish washer.  The caps simply pop on to the top of the wand and they have grooves than line up to bumps on the head so that it holds on a bit better.

There are three attachments. The first is a simple and basic attachment is called the “Dome Cap”.  It’s simply a smooth cover that fits over the head of the wand.  The second attachment is the “Dual Excited”.  This one has two prongs that are about half an inch apart and the entire thing is about 2.5″ long.  The last attachment is the “Triple Tease”.  It has three points and is completely symmetrical.  It looks a bit like a trident of sorts.  The middle prong is the largest (around 2.5″ long and 1.25″ in diameter”).  The other two stick off from the sides and are much smaller (only around 1.5″ long and 0.75″ wide).  This one is designed to be used for vaginal, clitoral, and anal stimulation all at once (hence the name triple tease).  The two extra arms are fairly flexible, but I’m not sure if they would be long enough to reach the clit on everyone.

All the attachments

This is a toy that needs to be plugged in to work.  Unlike other wands like this though, you can unplug the cord from the end of the handle.  That’s nice so that if you jerk on it, it will unplug and not damange the cord.  On the downside, the cord does not feel as thick or heavy as something like the Hitachi that’s more of an appliance style cord.  You are limited by the cord, but it’s a bit over 8 feet long, so you shouldn’t have too many problems with that.  There is an LED on the hand near the plug that comes on when you plug the toy in, but it doesn’t change colors or anything to indicate if the toy is actually on.  The controls on the Inspire are very simple.  In fact there’s only one button.  You press it to turn it on or off and to increase the intensity you press and hold.  This type of control is something I’ve seen more and more and each time I encounter it I dislike it more.  It’s easy, but I really like to be able to go back down without turning the toy off and starting over.

The vibrations on the lowest speed were surpisingly rumbly.  However, the higher you go, the buzzier it gets and the highest setting is extremely buzzy and very intense.  The low I could almost see myself using, but it’s quite strong.  On high, I can’t stand to even hold the toy for more than a few seconds so there was no way this was going near my clit.  One thing I didn’t like is that it feels like it vibrates more in the handle than in the head and makes my hand numb in a short time.  Also, bending the head dulls the vibrations out.  The vibrations do transfer well through all of the attachments.  I think the Dual Excitor would give a really intense sensation.  As strong as the toy is though, I was surprised how quite it is.  It’s not quite toy by any means, but it’s not as loud as I expected for the intensity.

Overall, I think that the Couture Collection Pink Inspire Massage & Attachments could be a great toy and set of attachments for someone who needs a small, light weight, and extremely strong vibrator.  I just can’t use something this strong.  I think overall it’s a fairly good toy, but my biggest issue with the toy though is the price.  The ‘holy grail’ of vibratos, the Hitachi Magic Wand, runs around $45 on average and you can often even find it in your local drug stores.  This runs over $100.  For a wand that is not rechargeable, I think that is completely ridiculous.  It’s super strong, but the price (especially including some of the faults, like the handle vibrating more than the head) I couldn’t recommend it to anyone.  There are similar products out there that the same or better and much much cheaper that will suit your needs.
