Review: Date Night Delight Kit

I’ve previously reviewed two kits from Good Vibrations, the Afternoon Delight Kit and the Night of Romance Kit, so of course I had to get the Date Night Delight Kit when it came up for review.

The Run Down:

Inside the box

There’s a lot of stuff in this one little kit so I’m just going to briefly cover everything, starting with the packaging.  It comes in a cute little plastic Chinese take out style box with a bunch of shiny tinsel packed on top.  Once you open it up you see the contents of the kit: a magic touch bullet, 2 Please lube samples (cream and gel), an Ignite Me Massage Candle, a Mini Rub Me Massage Bar and samples of Touch Me Massage Oil and Devour Me Lickable Oil.  If you’d like to see more details on the Magic Touch Bullet, Please Cream Lube, and Please Gel Lube, please see my review of the Afternoon Delight Kit.  Yeah I’m being lazy and not going to talk about them again.

Ignite Me massage Candle:

The Run Down:

  • Price (outside of kit): $10.00 / $15.00
  • Size: 2 oz / 4 oz
  • Ingredients: Soy Wax, Soybean Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Fragrance Oil
  • Recommended Use: Burn the candle until it forms a small puddle of liquid wax, blow out the flame, and pour it on your partner’s back for a warm sensuous massage
  • Pros: Smells very good; Spreads well and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy
  • Cons: Melted the center out in one use and the wick will no longer stay lit
  • Overall Rating: 3.75/5
  • Recommended: Yes

Massage Candle

I’ve been intrigued by massage candles since I learned about them.  They’re made from soy wax so they melt at a temperature slightly above body temperature so you can use the wax as a massage oil.  The scent I received in my kit was Pomegranate Mint, but you can also get English Lavender, French Vanilla, Morning Dew, and Nude (Unscented).  I think the Pomegranate Mint smells wonderful, though it doesn’t put off a lot of scent while burning.  I was afraid to pour it on myself, so I suckered Adonis into volunteering.  He said it was barely warm when I poured it onto his back, so this won’t burn you at all.  It spread well and did absorb into the skin so it didn’t leave his back feeling or looking greasy.  The biggest problem I had was that the candle is very wide, which causes the wick to melt through to the bottom very quickly.  One use melted the wax down to the bottom of the tin just in the center and the wick will no longer light.  This may be because I have a 1oz sample sized candle though.

Rub Me Massage Bar:

The Run Down:

  • Price (outside of kit): $6.00
  • Size: 1 oz
  • Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Essential Oil
  • Recommended Use: Rub a small amount on your hands or partner’s back and give them an aromatic massage
  • Pros: Melts into a nice massage butter; Rubs on smooth and leaves you silky soft; Doesn’t clog up your pores
  • Cons: Smells a little strong
  • Overall Rating: 5/5
  • Recommended: Yes

Rub Me Bar wrapped up

The Massage Bar is by far my favorite product out of this kit.  Adonis used it on me and it felt nice running across my skin as he applied it.  It melts into a smooth massage butter at body temperature and it was great to use for massage.  It added a bit of slickness but kept enough drag for it to feel extra nice.  The full 1 oz size bar is good for 10-12 massages and the mini one I received in the kit should last for 4-5 more.  The massage bar also rubs into your skin very well.  My back did not feel oily or greasy after my massage, it just felt silky smooth and soft.  I also haven’t noticed that it caused clogged pours or caused me to break out at all.

The Rub Me Bar

The bar I received was heart shaped and was wrapped up aluminum foil like a chocolate.  Once you unwrap the foil, the bar is wrapped in a piece of wax paper.  One thing to note is since this does melt at body temperature you’ll want to store it somewhere cool and if it’s out outside when it’s delivered, stick it in the fridge or it may be very liquid-y when you open it.  The scent I received was English Lavender and I do love the smell.  However, it is a very strong smell and some people may not want as strong of a scent.  If lavender isn’t your thing, the Rub Me Massage Bar is also available in Pomegranted Mint, French Vanilla, Morning Dew, Nude (Unscented) and After Dinner Mint.

Touch Me Massage Oil:

The Run Down:

  • Price (outside of kit): $8.00 / $16.00
  • Size: 2 oz / 8 oz
  • Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Fragrance Oil
  • Recommended Use: Use to give your partner a oiled up aromatic massage
  • Pros: Smells great;  Very slick
  • Cons: Not latex safe; Leaves an oily sheen on your skin
  • Overall Rating: 4/5
  • Recommended: Yes

Touch Me Massage Oil

The Touch Me Massage Oil I have covered in Night of Romance Kit, but I’m going to talk about it a bit again.  This kit comes with a 0.5oz bottle which will probably be good for 4 massages or so. The oil itself is very runny (well it is an OIL) and since it is an oil it is not safe for latex condoms.  It also has Vitamin E in it which helps moisturize and soften your skin.  The scent I received is the Morning Dew, which is a smell I love, but you can also get it in English Lavender, Pomegranate Mint, French Vanilla, and Nude (Unscented).  It rubs in decently while leaving an oily sheen on your skin, though I don’t feel there’s a need to wash it off.

Devour Me Lickable Oil:

The Run Down:

  • Price (outside of kit): $7.00
  • Size: 1 oz
  • Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Flavor Oils
  • Recommended Use: Use for a tasty massage and lick and nibble your partner as your rub them down
  • Pros: Tastes and smells like it says
  • Cons: Taste could be stronger; Not latex safe; Leaves an oily sheen
  • Overall Rating: 3.75/5
  • Recommended: Yes

Devour Me Lickable Oil

The Devour Me Lickable Oil is probably my least favor item in the Date Night Delight Kit.  This oil is designed to be tasty, though the taste is very very light. The flavor I received was Strawberry Kiss and it does smell like a sweet strawberry flavor, but I didn’t get much taste out of it.  The Devour Me oil also comes in Piña Colada, Chocolate Mint, and Crème Brulee flavors.  This has the same consistency of the Touch Me oil and even though it is mildly flavored, it is not at all sticky.  It also leaves an oily sheen on your skin and is not compatible with latex condoms.  Both myself and Adonis find the Touch Me in Morning Dew to smell better.  I did use the Devour Me oil to jerk him off with and it worked pretty well for that.

Overall, I am still a huge fan of the different kits that Good Vibrations offers.  It’s an awesome way to try out a bunch of products.  I’m also a sucker for a massage and this gave me several ways to experience giving and receiving massages with Adonis.  Whether you’re just interested in a single item or the entire kit, go over to Good Vibrations and check them out.  I do highly recommend you get a Rub Massage Bar if you get anything.  They are very inexpensive and I think it’s a wonderful product.
