Review: G-Spot Lollipop Double Pop

I’ve been a bad reviewer lately, for which I’ve appogized many times, but I do still feel bad about it.  Several months ago, G-Spot Lollipop sent me one of their Double Pops to review.  Due to being out of the country, stress, and other issues, I’m finally getting around to writing up the review.

The pop and wrapper

The G-Spot Lollipop Douple Pop was shipped discreetly and it didn’t have a lot of packaging.  The only real packaging is that one end was warped with a plastic wrapper and tied with a ribbon.  There was also a small tag tied on to it.  With the wrap it makes it look like a big lollipop which I think is cute.  The tag says G-Spot Lollipop, phone number, and website.  On the back it mentions all the products they sell was well as has a short blurb on how to use the product.  I think it’s great that it has some instructions and makes it really useful for people who do not have any experience with the g-spot.

The Double Pop is not your typical looking g-spot toy.  It’s a little over 10″ long and is essentially two acrylic balls on a steel rod.  The rod itself is about 7″ long and has a diameter of 0.25″.  The balls are a marbled pearly purple and are two sizes.  All the Pops sold by G-Spot Lollipop are sold based on the diameter sizes that range from 1.5″ to 2.5″.  The Double Pop I received is the smallest size that has a 1.5″ and 1.75″ balls but the largest 2″ and 2.5″.  Since they all are acrylic and steel, they can be sterilized.  There are no creases or seams on it either, so it’s very easy to clean.  You can use soap and water, toy cleaner or wipes, or bleach it.  They do not, however, recommend boiling it because of the adhesive they use.  I think I may have boiled it once (oops!) and it was fine, but I would suggest not, just to be safe.

In use, the Double Pop is interesting.  I was expecting it to be difficult to insert, because the balls are not tapered.  However, I found that the slick acrylic to be easy to insert, though I still usually start with the small ball.  You can also use silicone or water-based lubes with both the acrylic and steel.  One thing though, the steel does stay pretty cold, but I barely feel it.  Since it is not a large amount of steel, it also warms much quicker than items like the Pure Wand or Eleven.  The biggest trouble I had in using it though is it is hard to get the best angle by myself.  I had been trying to find a partner to use this on me, but it never quite worked out.  I think with a partner, this could be an amazing toy, but for solo use, it just didn’t work out as well as I had hoped.  Aside from g-spot stimulation though, you can always use it as a kegel exerciser.

Overall, I think the G-Spot Lollipop Double Pop has potential.  I like that I have two sizes to choose from on one toy, but I think for solo use I would have had much more luck with the J-Pop.  They have a wide range of sizes, colors, and types to fit your need.  They are a bit expensive, but I haven’t really see other toys like this and acrylic is a nice change up from silicone, glass, and metal.  Be sure to check out all of their other Pops:  Single Pop, Travel Pop, and J-Pop.
