A while back I reviewed the Onye Galerie Petite Flower, but when browsing Sin Free Toys I came across it’s big brother, the Onye Galerie Dragon.  Sin Free Toys was kind enough send me both the Onye Galerie Dragon and the Onye Galerie Petite Dragon so I could have a matched set.

The packages

The packaging for both the Galerie and the Galerie Petite are nearly identical outside of the size.  They both come in a clear plastic, clam shell style package.  Inside the package there is an insert that lists the product information and features in English on the front and in three other languages on the back. The front does say “vibromasseur” which I’m guessing is French for vibrator, and you can clearly see the bullets through the packaging, so it’s not the most discreet.  However, I think the over all design of the insert is nice and it goes along the dragon theme.  The only downside to the package is it’s the type of clam shell that you have to spend a while with a pair of scissors to get into them.  The Galerie Petite also comes with a small travel case.  The case does have the Big Teaze Toys logo on it, but it is the same color as the plastic, so if someone were to see it in a purse, they would probably think it was lipstick.

The Galerie and Galerie Petite

Both the Galerie and the Galerie Petite are made from ABS Plastic.  The Galerie does have a small wide silicone band near the button end that the package calls a non-slip grip.  The plastic on both toys is a very slick sleek plastic which will be safe to use with water- and silicone-based, though you may want to be careful with the Galerie and using silicone lube and getting it on the grip.  The main difference between the Galerie and the Galerie Petite is the size.  The Galerie is about 4.5″ in length and 1.125″ in diameter while the Galerie Petite is only 3.5″ in length and 0.625″ in diameter.  Both are water-proof so they are easy to clean.  They both also have the same color scheme and design.  The main background is black and the design along the body of both is a red Chinese dragon.

The other main difference between these two toys are the vibrations.  The Galerie Petite is much more of a traditional bullet vibrator.  It runs on one AAA battery and has a medium buzzy vibration and only has one speed.  This type of vibration just doesn’t do much for me.  The Galerie however, has three speeds and has a bit more power to it.  It runs on three AAA batteries and has a lot more power.  The only downside is that it is much, much louder than it’s smaller counterpart.  The vibrations are also quite buzzy.  The buttons and battery insertion is pretty similar in both toys.  The end caps screw off and the batteries can be inserted that way.  I did have a problem with the Galerie Petite because you have to line up the arrows for it to work and I found it difficult to hold on to it to twist it that tight.

Overall, both the Onye Galerie Dragon and the Onye Galerie Petite Dragon are okay toys, but they just don’t really work for me.  The vibrations are just too buzzy for me to enjoy them much, and the Galerie is much to loud for me to use when my roommate is home.  However, they are pretty cool looking and the Galerie does have a good bit of power to it.  If you don’t require a quite toy and enjoy a buzzy vibration then either of these toys may suit your needs.
