Review: Good Clean Love Lube

Today I’m going to cover another lovely lube that was sent to be by Good Vibrations to review, quiet literally.  I’m talking about Good Clean Love Lubricant.  This is some really good stuff too.

The Run Down:

  • Ingredients: Deionized water, Xanthan gum, Agar, organic Aloe barbendensis leaf juice, Natural extractives and flavors, Potassium Sorbate, Benzoic Acid
  • Size: 4oz
  • Price: $16.00
  • Recommended Use: Add some organic slickness to your play
  • Pros: Vegan; 95% Organic; Paraben and glycerin free; Latex and toy safe; Very natural slickness; Long-lasting; Nice smell; Not overly expensive
  • Cons: Said it was lightly flavored but didn’t taste any
  • Overall Rating: 5/5
  • Recommended: Yes

So what is so good about this stuff?  I mean it’s a standard lube, no frills really. But it fills a very new and growing niche in adult products.  This lube is not only made of 95% organic ingredients, but it is cruelty free and 100% vegan.  I’m not a vegan, hell I’m not even close, but I think it’s really nice that companies are putting out products like this.  The logo on the tube says “Chemistry without the chemicals”, kind of a cute slogan.  And to top all that off it has no parabens, is water-based, and is latex an toy safe.  If you’ve been reading my other lube posts, you know how much I’ve gone on about parabens and glycerin.  Glycerin, by the way, is an animal product.

The back of the tube says:

Evolve your love natural with Good Clean Love personal lubricants.  Eperience the real thing – naturally moist, smooth and long-lasting glide with no sticky clean ups.  Mimics the bodies own internal moisture.  Elimates the itching, burning, and pain associated with sex.  Feel the difference – Chemistry without chemicals.

Build lasting relationships, explore intimate connections and bring the fun back into love…

Consistency of lube

I really have to agree, this is one of the most natural feeling lubricants I have felt.  It’s not runny, but more of a gel, which I like.  You can get a little dab, which is probably all you really need, and it’s not going to run everywhere before you can get it where you want it.   It’s not sticky or tacky and it does last quiet a long time.  It also says you can add water later to cause it to get slick again, which I did try on my fingers after it had dried and it did slick back up quiet nicely.  The only time I’ve seen that it got a bit sticky is if it was exposed to a lot of air flow, I have a lot of fans running in my room and I noticed when I got some on my fingers and rubbed them together it dried up fast and was a bit sticky.

In addition to all that, it does come in two types, Almost-Naked and Lavender Rose.  I requested the Lavender Rose which is very lightly scented/flavored.  To me it’s a very light sweet sort of flowery scent.  Though when I tasted it I didn’t really tasted anything at all.  The Almost-Naked variety is scentless and flavorless.

Overall, I love this lube.  I’ve been looking for a really good, slick, plain lube, and this is it.  I don’t see that the smell really does much for it, as a little goes a long way, but it still is a very good product in my book.  I feel that this would be good for any couple with any type of play, well expect maybe oral it didn’t really have much of a taste and was just slimy when I licked it, bleck.  But anyways, this is a good long-lasting lube and it’s not terribly expensive.  Only $16 for a large 4oz tube which should last you quiet a long time.
