Review: Gina’s G-Spot Arouser

I thought I’d start off my reviews with one of my favorite toys, Gina’s G-Spot Arouser.  I had set out to find a Butterfly Kiss, as I had seen it get rave reviews elsewhere.  As I was wandering around the sex shop I asked the lady working there if they had any.  To my disappointment they did not, but she recommended another product they had, slightly cheaper, the Gina’s G-Spot Arouser.  It looks almost identical to the Butterfly Kiss, so I thought I’d give it a shot.  Also, it’s produced by the same company, California Exotics.  Both are a dual clitoral and g-spot stimulator.

The Run Down:

  • Toy Type: In-ie and out-ie
  • Manufacturer: California Exotic Novelties
  • Material: TPR and Plastic
  • Size: 7 1/4″ long; 2 1/4″  insert-able; 1″ wide
  • Batteries: One AA
  • Price: $19.45
  • Recommended Use: Simultaneous clitoral, vaginal, g-spot, and anal stimulation
  • Pros: It is similar to the Butterfly Kiss; Jelly soft TPR material;  Medium-strong vibration; Multiple speeds; Takes 1 AA battery; Water resistent/water proof
  • Cons: The pleasure nubbies could provide more of a flicking motion; Difficult to clean grooves
  • Intensity: 2/5
  • Volume: 2/5
  • Overall Rating: 3.75/5
  • Recommended: Yes

The G-Spot Arouser is a soft jelly material, but still firm enough to allow the necessary pressure for g-spot stimulation.  It is not silicone, but most likely a TPR material (I’ll do a post later about the types of materials and which are good and bad).  I base this on the fact that the butterfly kiss, platinum butterfly kiss, and the platinum version of this toy all state they are made out of TPR.  There is no smell to the G-Spot Arouser when you take it out of the packaging.  Because is a TPR material, any type of lube can be used with this toy, though I favor water-based lubes.

The toy itself

I’m not overly experienced with g-spot toys, but I really like the curve to the toy as well as the rounded and wide shape of the head.   Overall this toy is 8 3/4″ long with about 4″ of length for insertion, which is very flexible.  The head is about 1 1/4″ wide and 1 3/4″ tall.    Here is a picture of the product out of the packaging.

In addition to the head there is a collection of nubby little ticklers for clitoral stimulation.  I tried to get a better view of the nubbies.  They don’t flicker as much as they could, but the vibration from the motor is still strong.

The Arouser takes 1 AA battery, which you might think it wouldn’t pack much of a punch, but the vibrations are quiet strong and actually do travel through the length of insertion to the head pretty well.  This is not the strongest vibration I have ever felt, and for some ladies it might not be enough.  I can only say that works for me, and super strong vibration is just too much.  I would probably rank this as a medium strong.   To insert the battery, simply unscrew the endcap and insert the battery.  There’s also a rubber o-ring on the end cap so the toy is water proof.  However, I wouldn’t recommend submerging it, just as it does not seem  like the tightest seal and the brittle plastic of the end cap might be prone to crack.  The toy turns on with a dial with a continuum of speeds, so you can find the perfect one for you.

As far as cleaning goes, it can be a little difficult to clean between the nubbies.  A q-tip or cloth would be best for doing that, as a lot can build up there.  Other wise, simply clean with toy cleaner or a wipe or antibacterial soap and warm water.

Overall this is one of my favorite toys and I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, not overly expensive, dual vibrator.  If you have any comments or questions about this product, please feel free to contact me.
