The Iconic Ring Box

The Iconic Ring comes in a small rectangular box .  The box is fairly discreet and only says that it is the Iconic Ring aka “Vibrating Ring” which doesn’t give away much.  The Ring is part of JimmyJane’s line of Usual Suspects which the box says “Enjoyed by many, curated by us.”  There is a picture of all of the JimmyJane Usual Suspects on one side of the box though.  It also has the material and product information on the one side.  I was impressed to see that it comes with a one year limited warranty.

Inside the box

When you open up the box you see the Iconic Ring laying in the center.  On the inside of the two flaps are the instructions for using and cleaning as well as safety notes and information on the limited warranty.  The warranty covers defects in the materials and workmanship, but not damanage from misuse.  The box also makes a great place to store the ring.

The ring itself

The ring is made from elastomer which is phthalate and latex free.  It is slightly porous though so you will not want to share this with multiple partners as it cannot be sterilized.   You can also use water or silicone-based lubes with this product.   It is very easy to clean though, simply remove the vibrating insert (which I’ll explain how to do in a bit) and wash the ring with soap and water or toy cleaner.  One thing to note though is that there are small grips on the inside of the ring that are hollow, so make sure to clean those out as well.  The vibrating insert is not waterproof or even splash proof so if you want to wash it, wipe it with a damp cloth to prevent water from getting into it.

Showing the stretch of the ring

The inner diameter of the ring is 1″, but it is very stretchy.  As you can see from the picture, I can easily fit all four fingers on one hand into the ring.  The material is very stretchy and very resilient. Adonis says that while it was on, it was very tight but pleasurable.  The ring also has a nodule, about 1″ in diameter, where the vibrating insert fits.  This nodule has as bunch of little nubs that I find feel quite nice when the vibration is turned on.   I was also happy that the vibrating part of this ring does actually reach my clit when in use.

With a lot of vibrating cock rings, I find that the vibrating unit sits very close to the shaft of the guy’s cock and is no where near my clit, so they don’t do very much for me.  The Iconic Ring is different and I really enjoy feeling it and it makes using nice short thrusts while I’m on top much more fun.  The one problem we did have with the ring though is that, especially when things get super slippery, it did tend to rotate around Adonis’ cock and we would have to readjust it so that the vibrating nodule was near my clit.

The one unique feature to the Iconic Ring is that it has two modes of operation.  The first way to turn the vibrations on is to push the little stick on the side of the vibrating unit in, which turns the vibrations on and it stays on.  The unit is also pressure activated.  It has a small platform that when pushed, turns the vibrations on while there is pressure on the trigger.  I found this to be a neat feature as you can be playing and hitting it hard enough to activate it, but then when you do, it’s a nice little surprise.  Adonis said that when using it in the pressure trigger mode, it became a game for him to figure out which types of thrust will get it to turn on to give me an extra little buzz.  As far as the strength of the vibrations, it is medium high and on the edge of being buzzy.  This probably isn’t strong enough to get a lot of women off on its own, but I feel it does add a lot to play.

The vibrating insert and batteries

Now, when I first looked at this ring I thought it was a single use ring as I couldn’t figure out how to get to the vibrating unit, which is where the instructions became extra useful.  The Iconic Ring is splash proof and on the bottom of the nodule containing the vibrating unit, there is a small elastomer plug.  This plug can be pulled out and then you can pull the unit out of the ring.  The bottom of the unit twists off or you can use a coin to unscrew it and you can then replace the two LR1130 batteries.  It can be a little difficult to get the unit back into the ring, but it is not really that hard.  The pressure trigger does scare me sometimes, as I am not expecting it to randomly vibrate.

Overall, the JimmyJane Iconic Ring is a great cock ring.   I love the vibration and the the nubs.  This is definitely a toy Adonis and I will use together on a semi-regular basis.  It is a little expensive, but I think that the limited warranty makes it worth it, though I feel that this ring will last a while.

Great review! I have one of these coming in the mail as I type. It will be the first cock ring my hubby and I have used, and I hope to enjoy it too!
