A while back I reviewed one of the newish Jopen toys, the Vr3. I’m not horribly found of rabbits so I really wanted to try one of their non-rabbit vibrators. FunWares was kind enough to send me the Vr8 to review.

I talked about this packaging before when I reviewed the Vr3 but I was reminded about how disappointing it is when I got the Vr8 to review. It’s not the worse packaging ever but for an expensive “luxury” toy it should be a bit nicer than a cardboard box. It’s fairly discreet except for the bottom where there is an image of the toy. The functions and such are listed on the bottom as well as a slip found inside the package. You can store the toy and charger in the box, but like all the Vr toys you get a huuuuge storage bag.
The Vr8 is the same color and feel of the Vr3. I have to say I do love the bright purple color. The material is also soft and smooth but there is a bit of a seam along the toy. The shape is also fairly interesting. The handle is is around 1.5″ in diameter and starts at a tapered end and widens a bit before tapering. The other end has a skinnier neck with a 1.25″ diameter head. The head one rounded side and a bit of a pointed concave side. Each side can be inserted about 4″ giving a total length of 8″. The side with the head does have a gentle curve which may work well for some people’s g-spots, but I prefer a larger bulb. The neck does have a bit of flexibility to it. The toy is made from silicone and it is waterproof so it’s fairly easy to clean. You can use soap and water, toy cleaner, or bleach it. I would also stick to only using water-based lube.
The Vr8 is very versatile though. It can be used either in internally for thrusting and girth or g-spot stimulation or external stimulation. You can use either end for external stimulation with either end again because there are two separate motors in either end of the toy. The larger end has a stronger deeper vibration while the smaller head has a slightly lighter and buzzier vibration. The head also allows you to cup your clit, use a boarder side, or even do pin point stimulation. I prefer the larger end because it has a deeper vibration. I also rarely insert it since internal vibration makes me feel a little weird sometimes and I have other toys I like better for insertion. This is one of the many toys I have that never seems the top speed because it is too intense for me. Also, it doesn’t have patterns, but if you turn each motor on at the right timing you can create a bit of a “wobble” in the vibration since the frequencies don’t match up.
The Vr8 is rechargeable and there is a small hole in the underside of the toy that you can push the charger through to plug it in. A small red LED turns on while it’s charging and it turns off when it’s done. The controls are like the Vr3 which still annoy me a bit, but I have gotten used to them. To turn it on, push one of the buttons. The button nearest to each end turns on the respective motor. If you press the button again and it turns off. If you want to increase the speed you need to push and hold the button. As you’re holding it if you can look there is an LED that lights up under the button and as the speed increases it flashes at an increasing frequency. When you reach the top speed the LED stays on while you hold it.
Overall, I really like the Jopen Vr8. I love the vibrations from the large end because it really does the trick when I’m graving something strong. I think it’s something most everyone will enjoy because it has so many uses. Though if you’re not too sure about the shape, FunWares also carries Vr1 through Vr12.
