The container

The candle, like all of the other Lelo products I’ve received, came in a sleek black box.  There isn’t anything on the box that is outwardly sexual.  The back of the packaging has instructions in multiple languages.  They are pretty basic instructions though it does say to let the wax cool for about 30 seconds before pouring it on to your skin.

The candle itself comes in a black glass jar with a metal lid.  I like the container a lot because you can see the flame through the glass and it makes it very pretty.  The scent I received is the Snow Pear & Cedarwood.  It is not overly strong smelling and while burning it does smell quite good.  It’s a bit harder to smell while giving a massage, but it doesn’t linger on your skin and in the air from it burning.   It’s hard to describe what it smells like.  I get a sweet, fruity scent with a musky after hint.  I liked the smell much more than I expected to.

The candle itself

The candle melts into a nice oil, but I did find it cools and starts to re-harden much more quickly on the skin.  Like almost instantly.   However, it will soften up once you start to rub it it and it does massage into the skin very well.  While it is sitting in the container is does remain very liquid though and is easy to pour.  It does not give as much glide as a massage oil but it does last longer than a lotion.  I also didn’t find that it caused my back to break out after a massage either.

Overall, I did like the Lelo Flickering Touch Massage Candle.  I wish it didn’t cool as quickly as it does because it’s not as nice to rub in and it is a bit pricey.  I do really like the smell and would like to try the others.
