The package

The packaging for the Classic is very nice.  It comes in a hard pearly white and pink box that closes with satin ties.  The only thing written on this box is “Luxotiq” so it’s very discreet.  It’s also just a pretty looking box.  When you open the box, the inside is a pearly pink and the  inside has a block of styrofoam layered with white satin.  The toy sits in an indent in the insert and it looks almost black compared to the white.  You also get a small card that tells you how to how to care for it and there’s also a small pink cleaning cloth.

The classic and cleaning cloth

The Classic is about 8″ in total length and can be considered a dual ended dildo so 4-6″ can be inserted.  The shape is kind of a dual hour-glass.  The large end is around 1.5″ in diameter, the middle about 1.25″ and the smallest end is just over 1″.  I think the shape is overall pleasing, but some may find it too plain or boring.  I found that the large bulb is nice for a g-spot like mine that doesn’t need much of a curve.  The whole shaft is not girthy though, so if you like a really feeling toy, rather than just a bulb, you may want to find something else.  Also, depending on how deep you like penetration, you may insert it past the middle bulge.  The larger bulb is easier to hold on to than the smaller end for thrusting, but the smaller end isn’t necessarily hard to hold on to.  Aside from using it for thrusting the bulbs also allow you to use it as a kegel exerciser by starting with gripping the large end and building your way up to work on the small end.  I would even say you could maybe use this as a massage aid as well, but I’ll have to experiment with it.

The Classic is also made from seamless dark blue glass.  It’s so dark it’s almost opaque.  If you hold it up to a light, it gets a very slight glow.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen glass this dark before that wasn’t fully black.  If you love to display your toys, this would be a great one to keep on display because it is very pretty.  Since it is glass though, you can use any type of lube with it, but I doubt you’ll need much.  It’s very smooth and slick even without lube.  For clean up, the card says to use antibacterial soap and water and dry with the cloth included.  You can also bleach or boil it to sterilize it, especially if you want to use it between partners.  The cloth will also get rid of any finger prints or smudges if you have it sitting out.

Overall, I like the Luxotiq Classic.  I think it’s a great, body safe, and beautiful toy.  If you’re not a fan of the blue it does also come in a light translucent pink.  However, it is a bit on the pricey side but if you’re looking for something a little less pretty but similar you could check out the Wave Wand.  Another option may be the Icicles No 8.  It does come with a very nice and very discreet storage box though, so if the price is not an issue, I highly recommend adding this to your collection.
