The package

The packaging for the Matryoshka is fantastic.  It’s what I would expect with a luxury toy such as this.  It comes in a beautiful deep purple box.  The only thing written on the box is “Rianne S” and it’s very discreet.  There is a small sleeve that slides off that does have a sexy woman with pasties holding the toy on it, but that can be removed to leave you with a super discreet, sturdy storage box.  The sleeve also lists the features of the toy, but it is in very small print.  When you open up the box you see that there are two kinda ‘compartments’ to it.  The left smaller side holds the charging dock/case for the Matryoshka and the left side opens up to hold the charger and adapters., instruction books and warranty information, and storage bag.  Really R.S. gives you three differnt storage options to use with this toy.  You can keep it and the charger and everything in the box, use just the charing dock, or keep your toy in it’s storage bag.  Options are always great.  Speaking of options, they give you even more since the instruction booklet and all the other written information is printed in 7 different languages and it comes with four interchangeable outlet plugs for the charger.

The Matryoshka in my hand

Now, the toy itself is a very unique shape.  To me it looks like a little bowling pin.  The information with the toy calls it a “little lady with a big secret” and that it embraces the female form with seductive and sensual curves.  The bottom is flat enough that it can sit on any surface and it stands about 3.25″ high.  The base is around 2″ wide while the head is only about 1″ wide.  I suppose you could insert this to, but you would only get at most 1.5″ of insertion.  The book says it is an insert-able tip, so for those that like stimulation of the labia and entrance to the vagina this would work well for you.  I do really enjoy the shape.  The wide base is very easy to hold, even when things get a little slippery, and the narrower head slides easily between my labia and against my clit.

The toy and the bag

The Matryoshka is made from silicone, but it’s a harder surface covered with silicone.  There really is very little give to it and the head is not flexible at all.  The silicone feels very soft, the kind of soft that makes me want to rub it all over my face (and yes I did if you’re wondering).  It doesn’t seem to collect much lint at all which is great.  I did notice though that there is a slight seam, but I could not feel it at all on my clit when it was in use.  Since it is silicone, I recommend using only a water-based lube with it.  A small drop will go a long way with these super soft silicone though.  The instruction booklet recommends cleaning it with only soap and water and not other cleaning products, however, I didn’t find that anything bad happened when I used my toy cleaner on it.  Also, they say to clean the charging  base, just unplug it and wipe it down with a damp cloth, just make sure the charging base and toy are dry before putting the toy on to charge.

The charger and extra plugs

The first storage option that R.S. gives you is a nice little storage bag.  The bag is a peachy color and says “Rianne S” on it and has a little draw string.  It is only big enough for the toy itself to fit in.  The material  is a very soft cotton and it’s a nice way to keep your toy clean if you just want to toss it in your bedside drawer.  The next method is the charging dock.  It can be used for storage because it has a nice little lid that fits over top of the toy.  The charging cord plugs into the base and you can charge your toy while it is hidden under it’s lid.  When the lid is in place, it looks like a little purple canister.  There is a small plaque on the base that says “Rianne S” (they like to put their name on everything huh?) but other than that it’s very discreet.  I think this is great for those who need to charge their toy, but are worried about leaving it out in the open.  The charging cord itself is about 5 feet long so it should be plenty long enough to plug in and leave your charging dock sitting on a shelf.  The only issue I saw is that the booklet says to not charge the toy for more than 24 hours.  If you wish to leave it sitting in the base I would unplug the charger from the base when it has been fully charged.  It’s not a horrible thing, it’s just a bit annoying.  While the Matryoshka is charging the LED will light up.  It goes off when the toy is fully charged.    The LED also lets you know when it needs to be charged by flashing red.

As far as the vibrations with this little toy, I did expect a bit more.  The vibrations are just slightly buzzy, or at least buzzier than the toys that have been spoiling my clit lately, but they are fairly strong.  I think most everyone will be satisfied with the level of vibrations that the Matryoshka has to offer.  Aside from that, it has five functions; steady, two waves, and two pulsing; and you can pick from five levels of intensity for each function.  There are only two small buttons on the toy.  The top button will cycle through the functions when the toy is on.  Pressing the bottom button once will turn on the toy and continuing to press it will cycle through the speeds.  To turn it off, press and hold the power button.  It also has a travel mode where it can’t be turned on that you can activate or de-activate by pushing and holding both buttons until the light goes off.  When you turn off the travel mode it will actually vibrate for a second to let you know it’s off.  Even though the buttons are small, I found them to be very easy to push and use.  However, there is a small RS below the buttons and my fingers tend to find that first and want to push it.  The letters don’t protrude as much as the buttons, my fingers are just dumb.

Overall, I think the R.S. Matryoshka is a unique and lovely little luxury toy.  I love the feel of the silicone and the shape is very nice.  I also have never reviewed a toy that has so many storage options as well as a super discreet charging method.  It comes in three lovely colors, purple, fuchsia (the color I have), and light pink.  I do wish the vibrations were a bit deeper, but I do enjoy my cute little Matryoshka.

This is the cutest little thing, too bad about the buzzy vibrations!

  • Glad I’m not the only one with dumb fingers. Hee. I have the same slight annoyance… My fingers continually and consistently find their way to the RS and attempt to get a change in vibration intensity by pushing it. Hasn’t worked yet! Silliness.

Have you had any difficulties getting it to “dock” correctly on the base and charge?

  • I have pretty dumb fingers as well. You said the buttons are easy to use: do you find that you tend to bump the buttons and change settings in the middle of a session? That tends to be my big problem. I need to find a good vibe that I DON’T do that with.
