The package

The packaging that Mr. Smooth comes in is pretty awesome and by far one of my favorite packages I’ve seen so far.  The package itself is actually a small aluminum storage case with a flip clasp.  The top does have a sticker of with an image of the toy and says “Metal Worx Mr. Smooth Pipedreams”.  It’s not horribly discreet, but some people may not know what it is.  The good thing though is that the sticker will peel off pretty easily.  Under the sticker it says “Metal Worx  Pipedream” but there is no image of the toy.  The bottom has another sticker with a few bullet points about the toy.  It says “Equal Parts Art & Pleasure” and says that it’s high-quality polished steel, hygienic & nonporous, great for temperature play, weighted for extra pleasure, and eco-friendly and nickel-free.  The bottom sticker also peels off and there is nothing on the bottom.  Once you remove the stickers I think it’s fairly discreet.  Inside the case, there’s a large foam insert in the bottom and a smaller insert in the top.  I pulled these out to see if there was any care information, but there wasn’t.  You can leave the inserts to protect the toy, but if you remove them you could store a few other things in there.  But overall the case is pretty fricken sweet.

Mr Smooth in his case

The toy itself is about 6″ in length and 1.25″ in diameter at it’s widest.  I think the overall shape of it looks like an exclamation point, except the point is attached to the line.  The surface is very smooth and mirrored, and it’s very nice to look at.  I almost wish I had a little stand for it because it would look neat displayed on a shelf.  Maybe one day I’ll have my own place and can display all my favorites.  It is made from solid stainless steel so it does have a bit of heft to it and weights about a pound.  Also since it’s steel it’s super easy to clean.  You can wash it with soap and water, toy cleaner or wipes, bleach it, or boil it.  Just be careful if you’re washing it in a ceramic sink, you don’t want to drop it and crack your sink!  You can also use any type of lube with it.  You probably will not need much lube with it though, since it is very slick to begin with.

Mr Smooth in my hand

As far as insertion, I do recommend warming it up before hand, but my vagina is very opposed to cold objects.  It warms up easily with a quick soak in some warm water and will stay warm for a while.  Please do not try to put it in the microwave to warm it up though.  Metal + Microwave = verrrrry bad idea.  Insertion was very easy for me since the tip is rounded.  I enjoy it because the shaft has just enough length that I can insert it and leave it to have something nice and hard to squeeze around while I use another toy.  You could also use the small end since either end is fairly easy to hold on to.  The weight of the toy also allows you to use it to work on your kegels as well.

Overall, I like the Metal Worx Mr. Smooth.  I love the cute little case and I really enjoy using metal toys.  I also like that this one isn’t as threatening in size as things like the Eleven.  I also like that it’s one of the cheaper steel toys out there (only $35.95!).  I know some people have complained that they’re “ripping off” Njoy, but if they’re finding ways to make quality steel toys for very little, I have no problem with that.  I’m glad toys like this have become more affordable for everyone.  FunWares carries the entire line of Metal Worx, so go check them out.
