Review: Night of Romance Kit

I have to say I am not as excited as I was when I requested it, but Good Vibrations sent me the Night of Romance kit to review.  As y’all may know, I had requested this kit when I was with my boyfriend, as he suggested it would be something we could have fun with.  Little did I knew he was going to break up with me before I would actually even get the item, but oh well.  I am going to do my best to review these products on my own.

The Run Down:

A peak inside the kit

This kit comes in a small plastic handbag shaped container.  It’s very discreet and cute and this would be a good item for going on a trip with your partner and something small that would get through airport security with no problems. This is also a good kit just to get a few different items to try for relatively cheap.  The kit comes with three different items: a 0.5oz container of Please Pleasure Cream, a 0.5oz bottle of Touch Me Massage Oil (Morning dew) and a Screaming O Vibrating Ring.  Below you can see all three items inside the kit case.  I would be wary when you start pulling items out, because they may have leaked.  My jar of Please Pleasure Cream had leaked a bit, possibly due to the heat, so everything was a little greasy when I pulled stuff out.  It’d be a good idea just to have a tissue or something ready in case it did so you can wipe everything off.  On a side note, the entire bag just smelled good, probably because of the products inside.

Screaming O Vibrating Ring

The Run Down:

  • Materials: SEBS Silicone
  • Price: $8.00
  • Recommended Use: Stick it in your travel bag or pick it up to experience a stretchy vibrating cock ring for the first time
  • Pros: Disposable, good for a beginner and just wants to try it or for travel; Very quiet; Pretty strong
  • Cons: Disposable (it’s a pretty decent, don’t want to throw it away!)
  • Intensity: 3.75/5
  • Volume: 1/5
  • Overall Rating: 4/5
  • Recommended: Yes

Screaming O Vibrating Ring in the package

This is a disposable cock ring, perfect for a couple just wanting to try one or a couple going on a trip, you don’t have to worry about loosing an expensive product.  On the packaging it states that the ring and cover are made from a soft SEBS silicone material and that it has been examined by the SGS organization and proven to be non-toxic.  The back of the packaging has instructions for use.  Basically, take it out of the package, put it on your partner’s cock and turn it on.

Vibrating Ring out of the package

Out of the package, the ring does not have any odd or bad odor to it.  The material itself is very soft and squishy.  If you’ve ever felt a sticky hand you get out of the kids vending machines, it feels like that but maybe a touch firmer.  It’s also super stretchy, I was able to put it around my wrist, so there shouldn’t be a problem with it not being big enough for you or your partner.  The head where the vibrating motor is, has a few little nubbies and one larger nubby in the center, you can kind of see them in the picture below.  The packaging states that it should not be reused for sanitary reasons.  However, I think if you washed it well, it could be used again.

The motor itself is encased in a hard plastic shell.  It is a disposable ring so there is no way to replace the batteries.  The motor can be removed though, and you could put your own bullet into the sleeve if you wanted to use it again.  The one thing I will add here though is that I don’t believe this should be used submerged in water.  The motor capsule has a seam around it and it does not appear to have any type of o-ring, so I’d keep them from being submerged.  It would probably be fine to use in the shower, because while it is in the ring sleeve, it should help protect it from water damage.  To turn it on, there’s a small slide switch on the side that’s very easy to push.  As far as the vibration goes, I’d say it’s a medium-high vibration.  It’s also very quiet, so no need in worrying about the person in the hotel room besides yours hearing it, unless of course it lives up to it’s name “Screaming O”.

Touch me Massage Oil

The Run Down:

  • Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Fragrance Oil
  • Size: 2 or 8oz
  • Price: $8.00 or $16.00
  • Recommended Use: Give your partner a nice moisturizing and relaxing massage without feeling greasy
  • Pros: Smells very pleasant and relaxing
  • Cons: No extra frills; Not latex-safe
  • Overall Rating: 4/5
  • Recommended: Yes

The massage oil

The bottle says you can use as bath, after-bath/shower moisturizer, sensuous massage oil, or anytime your skin is thirsty for a light and silky treat.  The scent I got is Morning dew.  I found the smell to be very pleasant and relaxing.  Other than that, it’s a traditional oil with no extra frills.  It’s not a warming oil and it doesn’t say that it’s edible, but the ingredients are non-toxic (but it doesn’t taste very good anyways, so I wouldn’t recommend licking it…).

The bottle itself is very small, only o.5 oz which would be perfect for travel or just to try.  It’s also just a simple screw off top, but the product is very runny so there should be no problem getting it out.  There are several other scents of touchme Massage Oil by Good Vibes:  English Lavender, French Vanilla, Pomegranate Mint, and Nude.  Going by how good Morning dew smells, I would think the others would smell very good as well.  As a side note, this is an OIL based product, which is fine for solo play or massages, but it should not be used as a lube if you are using latex condoms.  Oil will cause condoms to break down and they become ineffective, so please don’t mix the two.  I’d even recommend washing your hands after using this if you are going to touch a condom.  If you’re not using condoms or are using non-latex condoms, it doesn’t really matter.  But I really do hope you are using condoms.

Over all I really like this product, it’s just so hard to describe how it smells.  But I really hope I get to find some lovely man to give me a rub down with this soon!  And if you’d like to volunteer… please let me know 😉

The jar

This product surprised me in more than one way.  The first way… was by being extreeeeeemly runny.  Okay so maybe it’s not *that* runny, but I was expecting a thick cream that you can turn the jar upside down and it stays in place, not true.  This stuff is very liquidy.  I had it tilted a bit when I opened it and yeah… let’s just say I won’t be wearing these shorts again tomorrow.  *Update:  After I let the cream sit for a while, it did thicken up a lot, you can turn the jar upside down and it doesn’t budge.  So really I’d say this is more like a balm than a cream.  Once it heats up it melts.*

The cream itself has a pleasant fruity scent.  It also isn’t so much of creamy as it is a thick oil.  Most of the ingredients are oil based (which again, means it’s NOT compatible with latex condoms!) so it makes sense it wouldn’t be very creamy.  The container is very small, only 0.5oz, but I think that much would last you a long while, a tiny dab really went a long way.

Showing the cream

But what does this cream do?  It’s called a pleasure cream and really I wasn’t expecting much.  Boy was I surprised.  I got a small dab and massaged it on my clit to see what would happen.  Most of the pleasure creams and gels I have tried take a while, but this was pretty instant.  I have to say this was one of the most intense sensations I’ve had from just a cream.  It kept building and building, a hot tingling, it was almost too much for me, but I rode it out, which was actually quiet a long time.  Even an hour or so later when I went to the bathroom, the contact with the air sort of reactivated it.  This is definitely the right stuff if you are looking for something to really get your little hot spot going.  On a side note, this stuff would probably also work well on sore aching muscles, much like Tiger Balm.  However, it’s very oily, so it will need to be washed off with soap and water.

So overall, this is a very nice little kit.  I was glad to be able to try out several different things, all of which I liked quiet a lot.  I am disappointed that I do not have anyone to try them out with, but shit happens right?  These products will definitely be staying in my toy box and waiting for a good opportunity to play with them more.  So if you’re looking for a nice weekend get away kit or just want to try a few different products, I recommend trying Good Vibration’s Night of Romance Kit.  And I just want to thank Good Vibes again for sending me this product to review!
