The package

The package for the Original Duckie reminds me of a sort of paint can.  It’s a clear oval-ish cylinder with a ribbon handle.  On the front, the only not discreet things it says are “3 speed” and “waterproof massager”.  The back lists some of the features in a few languages.  I do have to say this was one of the more difficult packages to get into.  You have to untape the bottom and pull it off and then you have to untape a piece of plastic that the duck is sitting on and pull it out.  Then you have to untape the duck from the plastic insert. SO MUCH TAPE!  You could use the container to store the toy in because it all fits back together pretty nicely.  But the toy itself is discreet, so I plan to just leave it chilling in my bathroom.   Aside from the duckie you also get a small pamphlet that talks about the toy and a sheet that explains how to put the batteries in in several languages.

The Duck itself is made from Phthalate and latex free PVC and ABS plastic.  It has a matte texture and the material overall is fairly firm and rigid.  There is very little give or flexibility to this toy anywhere.  The only place that has slight give to it is where the power button is located on the back.  The over all dimensions are about 4.5″ in length, 3″ in width, and about 4.25″ tall.  Since it’s PVC though, you can use silicone or water based lube with it.  It’s also pretty easy to clean with a quick rinse under the faucet or with toy cleaner or wipes.

Awww isn’t he cute?

As I mentioned earlier, the only give on the toy is where the power button is located.  It isn’t obviously where the power button is on the duckie, which makes it quite discreet.  The button is actually located on the duck’s back.  It does take a fairly good press to turn the button on, so I wouldn’t worry about it being turned on accidentally.  There are three speeds of vibration and you have to cycle through all three before it turns off.  It takes two AA batteries that are inserted into the bottom.  The only thing that frustrates me is how you insert the batteries.  The bottom of Rub My Duckie has a plastic panel with a screw in it that you have to unscrew to open up the bottom.   To me, this is a pain to have to track down a screw driver just to replace the batteries.  There is a rubber ring around the bottom panel so it is water proof.

The vibrations are actually surprisingly strong (for a duck I suppose) and fairly deep and pretty quite.  Since it is shaped like a rubber duckie though, it can be a bit awkward to try to use for clitoral stimulation.  I think the best spots to use are the tip of the the tail, the beak, or the head.  You could probably also use the chest.  I also found it a bit odd to masturbate with an innocent looking rubber duckie.  If you don’t have any problems with that, I’d say go for it.  Aside from masturbation, the vibrations in this duckie are very deep and feel quite nice on stiff muscles.

Overall, I was surprised by the Original I Rub My Duckie.  It’s a very deep vibration and a very discreet vibrator.  It’s cute and innocent and perfect to leave out as a bathroom decoration.  I currently leave this guy sitting on the top of my toilet tank.  This is a great shower or tub addition for some discreet fun or massage and relaxation, especially if you collect rubber duckies.  You can buy this cute little bugger over at Babeland.

I would move it from the tank; every time you flush, the toilet sends up a mist. So your poor ducky is getting urine and feces particles on it every day. Eek.
I keep nothing on the back of my toilet for this very reason.
