Peek-a-Book Garter Dress package

The package

There isn’t much to say about the packaging for this piece of lingerie.  It’s made by Leg Avenue and it comes in a small flat box that has a small clear window that you can see the piece through.  It also has an image of a plus size model on the front and back wearing the piece.  She is wearing pasties, but those are not included.  If you want, you could probably store the piece in the box, but it’s just as easy to fold it up and place it in a drawer.

The piece from the front

The piece itself is made from 80% nylon and 20% spandex and I would call it more of a chemise than a dress.  The main body is divided into three sections.  The two side sections connect in the back and are a see through red mesh and the middle section in the front is the same red mesh with small velour polka dogs on it.  The material is not as nice as silk against the skin, but I did not find it to be itchy or irritating.  The bottom of the chemise is trimmed with a ruffle of the same material and the garter straps are attached just under it, two on either side, one in the front and one in the back.  The back of the chemise comes down pretty low and where the sides come together the material is scrunched a bit and it has a small bow.  There is also a similar bow on the front in the center between the cups.  There is also a regular hooked bra strap in the back, though the material doesn’t provide much support, it allows for some adjustment.

The cups and straps of this piece are the most interesting part.  While there are cups, it is also cupless.  Essentially, there are some frilly, ribbony straps that frame the breast, but do not cover them.  One strap comes up from the armpit to attach to the strap that should go on the outside of the breast and continues up to attach to the piece that goes on the inside of the breast.  You can be a bit teasing with this piece, if you pull the piece that should rest on the outside to cover the nipple.  It provides very little coverage, but it is another way to wear it.  The straps that go over the shoulder also allow for some adjustment.

The piece from the back

As far as fit goes, the material is very stretchy.  I generally wear between 16-20 dress size and my measurements are 47-40-50 and this fits decently well.  I also put the hooks on the tightest setting so I think this would fit those a few sizes smaller and large than myself fairly well.  I could not find this in a regular one size version on their website, though it may just be out of stock currently.  One thing to note though, the material is quite see through, as you can see in the pictures you can clearly see my underwear and it provides no really support for larger breasts.  This is not so much a functional piece as a decorative piece of lingerie.  One male ‘viewer’ said it probably would have looked better if it had the pasties and stockings like shown on the box, but he liked it overall.  Another comment in response to the pictures from a male was “HUBBA!”, so I suppose they bother found it flattering and attractive on me.

Overall, I think the Peek-a-Boo Garter Dress is a decent piece.  The cupless cups are interesting and it is not a piece I would typically wear.  It’s fairly inexpensive and it is a nice bright red and allows for the addition of some sexy stockings as well.  If you like lingerie for a little bit of cover up, but leaving access to some areas, this would be a good piece for you.
