Review: Remote Vibrating Panty

A remote controlled bullet has always been a fantasy of mine.  Being able to go out with a partner with a little buzzer tucked in my panties and with them having the remote is just a hot idea.  This is why I requested the Remote Vibrating Panties from Babeland to review.

Storage Bag

The Remote Vibrating Panties come in a nice silky drawstring pouch.  It’s very discreet and only says “Vibrating Pleasure Panties” on the tag.  The bag is perfect for storing everything in it.  What is everything?  Well you get a pair of panties, a wireless bullet, the remote for the bullet, 4 N sized batteries and 2 23A batteries.  I was peeved that it uses such odd size batteries, but it is nice that you get an extra set.  The pouch is also machine washable in case you get any lube or anything else on it.

The bullet and remote

The bullet itself is about 2 1/3″ long and about 1 1/4″ wide with about a 4″ receiver cord.  This is NOT a retrieval cord.  This cord is what picks up the signal from the remote so you should be careful to not pull or tug on it too hard as this may cause it to not receive the signal well.  The remote is 2 3/4″ long and a little over an inch wide.  It also has a receiver cord on it that measures slightly under 3″.  Attached to this receiver cord is a little clip that you can use to clip it to your key chain, etc.  It is also small enough to slip into a pocket, though your pocket may change the setting on you.  Both the remote and the bullet are made from ABS plastic with a rubber cote that is silky smooth and soft.  The bullet is splash proof (I don’t recommend submerging it) so it is easily cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner.  You will want to be careful with the remote while cleaning it as it is not slash proof; I’d suggest wiping it with a damn cloth.  One last thing to note about the material, since this is ABS plastic it should not be used with multiple partners without using a condom over it.  If you wish to insert it, I would put a condom over it to allow for easy retrieval.

I have not tested it, but online it states that the bullet and remote have up to a 16 foot range, meaning you can be 16 feet away from your partner with the remote and they will still be able to change settings.  It has 3 speeds of constant vibration and 3 vibrational patterns.  The remote has two buttons to control the bullet.  The MODE button turns the bullet on and cycles through the patterns and the OFF button turns the bullet off at any time.  As far as the strength, all the settings are a medium light-buzzy vibration.  The low setting is a good start for me, but for most women it will probably not even tickle.  The high setting is still just a high medium, and even for me I’d like a little more oomph to push me over the edge.  Being a vibrator you’re meant to wear out and about, I find it to be a little to loud.  It is muffled some by your body, but I’d be nervous if I weren’t somewhere noisy.  Also be careful as to what you sit on as it may cause the vibrations to reverberate louder.

Batter compartments

As I mentioned earlier, this does take two annoying and odd sized batteries.  The bullet runs off two N sized batteries while the remote takes one 23A size battery. I have never even heard of a 23A size battery.  To insert the battery into the remote, simply pop the sliding back off and stick your battery inside.  The back is very loose so it may slide off on it’s own, just be aware of that fact.  For the bullet, the end without the receiver cord screws off and the batteries are placed inside the two slots.  There is a rubber o-ring, but because of how the receiver cord connects to the end of the bullet, I would not suggest submerging it.

The panties

The panties are made from 97% polyester and 3% spandex.  They have a very shiny and slick surface outside but the inside is a bit rougher.  The lining of the middle panel is 100% cotton and towards the front has a small pouch where you can place the remote bullet.  I found this pouch to not be in the right spot for me and prefer the bullet between my labia against my clit.  However, the size of the bullet makes it feel slightly uncomfortable to walk around with.  Also, using the bullet in the little pouch, it will dull the vibration even more.

How the panties look on me (yes, there’s crack)

I was shocked when I read about how adjustable they are.  They use ribbon side ties that allow the panties to be adjusted from 25″ to 65″ hips.  I know as a plus sized woman I find it hard to find lingerie, strap-on’s, underwear, and anything else that depends on a waist size, so I was very excited that these can accommodate those sizes.  However, being highly adjustable also has a downside.  Because these can fit such a wide range of sizes, these panties don’t fit any one person extremely well.  They do fit me and I have plenty of room to tie the ribbon (which I had never worn side tie panties, I had to enlist help to figure it out) but as you can see, the back panel is a tad too short. I also couldn’t keep the sides up over my hips in order to hold them up and they kept working their way down.  It probably wouldn’t be as bad if I were wearing pants or shorts over top of the panties.  I do think that these would be much better if they were offered in a range of sizes that will fit people better.

Overall, the Remote Vibe Panty from Babeland is an OK product.  I would prefer a panty that will fit me better and I probably won’t wear these.  The bullet is a decent wireless remote bullet, but I would be more comfortable going out with a quieter and smaller bullet.  This just didn’t meet all of my expectations so I would suggest looking for a better remote bullet.
