The front and back of the package

The Silicone Starlight comes in a pretty basic clamshell package.  You can clearly see the toy so it’s not the most discreet package in the world.  It’s also a little big to store it in, so I would just toss it.  The package does have a woman dressed in a shimmery gown, I guess she’s supposed to look like a starlet.  The back of the package shows the features and says that it’s waterproof and made from hygienically superior silicone.

The Starlight is what most would consider a traditional vibrator.  It’s around 8.25″ in length with about 5.5″ being insert-able and is around 1″ in diameter.  There are no curves or bends; it’s just a straight vibrator.  I also don’t find that it’s an intimidating toy in either size or length.  It has a rounded end and also has three rings near the middle of the shaft that are slanted.  I didn’t notice the rings too much during insertion but you can use the toy externally and use them on your clit and labia. Aside from that the base and dial of the toy are both made from plastic and the main shaft is made from silicone.  Being that it is a CEN product I flame tested and it did not appear to leave any discoloration.  I would suggest using a water-based lube with it as there is a lot of drag on this toy. To clean you can bleach it or use toy cleaner and soap and water.

The Starlight in my hand

The vibrations are fairly average and it runs on 3 AAA batteries which are not included.  The motor is near the tip of the toy and the vibrations are a bit buzzy.  The silicone does seem to dampen it out a bit though and I’d rate it at a medium high.  There is a dial base so you have full control over the level of vibrations.  There is also an o-ring where you screw the cap back on, though I wouldn’t trust it for full submersion, shower play would be fine.  The cap is a bit annoying, as it has notches that have to slide into grooves and they are different sizes so you have to make sure it lights up correctly.

Showing the lighted tip

Aside from that it’s a medium quiet toy.  On the highest setting it may make me a little nervous that it would be heard in a quiet room through a closed door.  Another neat thing about this, is much like the Lighted Shimmer I reviewed, it lights up.  The Starlight doesn’t look as cool lite up, but the Starlight could almost double as a small flashlight.  There is a clear LED in the tip of the toy and the higher you turn it the brighter it is.

Overall, I think the Silicone Starlight is a decent vibrator.  It’s fairly cheap, especially for a silicone toy, and it’s not intimidating.  It would make for a good beginner toy or if you’re just looking for something inexpensive.  I wasn’t as impressed with the light on this toy, but it could be used for some fun dark room play.
