The bottle

The bottle that the Sliquid Swirl comes in is a cute little 4.2 oz bottle.  The label and cap are a metallic blue with white print.  I really like the bottle.  It does say that it is a lubricant on the bottle, but it’s short enough that it can stand up in almost any drawer.  From what I can tell, the bottles for all the various flavors of Sliquid Swirl have the same label and type of bottle, just with different color schemes.  I also have the Pink Lemonade flavor and it’s label is a bright pink with yellow print and a yellow top.  The bottle also uses a flip top which is easy to open and dispense and close with only one hand.

The lube itself has a nice consistency.  It’s not a thick gel, but it’s not a runny liquid either.  It’s also very slick and long-lasting and easily reactivated by water or spit.  This is intended as an oral sex lubricant, but it is very body and woman friendly and is safe to use for vaginal penetration with all toys and condoms.  Sliquid Swirl is water based and made with all natural ingredients and contains no glycerin or parabens.  I’ve used this many times for just solo play.  It can get a tad sticky if you just let it dry on your skin but it easily washes off.  I also found that that sticky feeling goes away if you rub it in and it leaves you feeling soft and smooth.

The bottle

Now the most important part of a flavored lube… the taste!  When I first opened the bottle I noticed a faint sweet blue raspberry smell.  The taste is also mild, but it is there.  To me this tastes like blue.  Yes, blue.  You know all the awesome-ly blue drinks and slushies convenience stores sell?  That flavor I call blue.  To me, they don’t taste like blue berries or raspberries or any type of fruit really, they just taste like blue.  There is a kind of fruity flavor to it, but it’s not really any one fruit.  The flavor though is pretty mild, which for many can be a good thing.  It’s not overbearingly strong or sweet like many other products I have tired.  I do like the flavor, but find the more I tasted it, the more it had a bit of a soap-ish taste to it.  Granted, I was just trying it on my self (no willing penises around…) so it may be my lotion or soap.  The lube also has aspartame in it.  I know some people have sensitivities when ingesting aspartame, so I would not recommend it if you know you have any issues with aspartame.  For me, products with aspartame usually have a very strong after taste that I do not enjoy.  I did not notice it as much with the Blue Raspberry Swirl as I have with other products.

Overall, I think that the Sliquid Swirl Blue Raspberry is a very nice flavored lubricant.  It’s safe to use vaginally and it doesn’t have a strong overbearing taste.  It’s also just a good lube in general.  If you’re not a fan of the “blue” flavor though, also carries Strawberry Pomegranate , Pina Colada, Green Apple, Pink Lemonade, and Cherry Vanilla.  I’d love to try them all, except the Pina Colada, no coconut flavored cock for me, blech.

  • I really wish this didn’t have aspartame in it! My stomach has issues… I’m sure Sliquid is aware that some people have issues with aspartame. I don’t know why they don’t just use stevia instead. I guess they have their reasons… I’d really love to try this, especially since you confirmed my suspicions that it would taste like blue raspberry slushies. Darn that aspartame!

Well how sensitive are you to it? If it’s just a mild sensitivity you may be fine, I can’t stand the taste and it may be okay for you as long as you don’t drink it.
