Squeel box

You guys know that I’m a pretty big sucker for nice packaging, especially packaging that is reusable.  The Sqweel comes in a nice metal box.  It does come packaged with a sleeve around it that shows the product and says “Love Honey Sqweel A revolution in orgasms!” so the sleeve is not all that discreet.  The box on the other hand just says “Love Honey Sqweel”.

Inside the Box

When you open up the box everything is very nicely laid out in a velvety plastic insert.  The Sqweel comes up with a lube sample of Sliquid Organics as well as an Owner’s Guide.  The Owner’s Guide covers step by step details on how to operate, clean, and care for it.  I like the guide because it’s very easy to understand and gives big clear pictures on how to take the Sqweel apart.  You can pull the insert out and it gives you a space of 2″ x 6 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ of storage.   So you can fit a lot of other stuff into the box for storage.

All the parts of the Sqweel

The Sqweel consists of many parts, more than any other toy I’ve had before.  It is also not a vibrator, but a rotating toy.  You pull off the curved end cap to reveal the silicone tongue insert.  Now because the insert is, well, inside the plastic case, you need a way to get it out.  Simply rotating the one side will remove it and the insert can be pulled out.  It is not difficult to take apart, but it can be a bit of a pain to clean.

The Tongue Insert

The insert is made out of small plastic piece but the tongues are a very soft silicone.  This part can be fully sterilized with a 10% bleach solution or cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner.  Since it is silicone it can create a good bit of drag.  I recommend using a water based lube with the Sqweel and the best way to lube it up is to put a little bit of lube on your fingers and turn the toy on and let the tongues flick over your fingers.  You could always do each individually, but that seems like a major pain in the ass.

The toy is not waterproof, so to clean it you need to take it apart and pull out the insert.  You can then clean and even submerge the insert, but if you need to clean the plastic case, simply wipe it with a damp cloth.  The Sqweel also takes three AAA batteries and it has three speeds of rotation.  The lowest speed is a gentle licking, but even a slight pressure can cause it to stop rotating.  Medium is a bit faster and high puts off a very slight breeze.  With each increasing level it does get louder.  To me, it sounds a bit like a paper shredder, probably because it rotates.  It may be heard through a closed door if it is a very quiet house, but even then it is not the loudest toy I’ve heard.

The Sqweel itself

The idea behind this toy is that it will mimic oral sex, like a tongue lapping at your clit.  I have never been a big fan of oral sex, I feel awkward having someone down there.  I thought that this toy would be a great way to experiment with the sensations without the awkwardness.  I did find that the feeling of the little tongues hitting my clit was very enjoyable, but I’m a lazy masturbator.  I have a large outer labia, so to use this toy I have to use one hand to hold it and another to hold my labia apart.  For me, this is a down side as it leaves me without a free hand to use a dildo or do anything else.  And lastly while it does feel nice, I don’t feel that this type of stimulation would get me off.  It is a nice warm up,

Overall, this is an okay toy.  I am not personally a big fan of it, but then again I’m lazy.  I know many people that love this toy and I do like that it is a very inventive and creative toy.  This is definitely a good product, and while it has some downsides, many people will enjoy it.  I just recommend thinking about if you’re lazy like me, or have a well-suited anatomy for this type of toy before you purchase it.  If you do wish to purchase the Love Honey Sqweel it is available at Good Vibrations.
