Review: Stroking Power Pump

Ahh a male toy.  But how did you review this, you ask?  Well I had it sent to a willing friend, and he provided the review below for me.  You can probably expect some other reviews from him in the future.  So let’s call him Ed, and today he’s going to review the Stroking Power Pump from Eden Fantasys.

The Stroking Power Pump

The Stroking Power Pump comes packaged in a large box with no other packing material. The box itself is stylish enough and lists the features of the stroker: strong vibration, suction, automatic stroking action, and a “hands-free experience.” Removing it from the box, I noticed that there’s nothing inside except the stroker. It would have been nice to have care instructions for the toy somewhere, but I can figure that out later. An important note is that the four required “C” batteries are NOT included and you will need to purchase those separately.

The toy is very large and feels durable. The plastic cylinder feels very sturdy, the handle is strong and firm, and the pump bulb is made of durable plastic and feels well-made. There are some issues with the construction which I’ll get into when I talk about cleaning. Though the toy is very long overall, the usable space is only about 5 inches (the vibe fills the end of the cylinder), so don’t expect to be able to slide all the way in. Depending on your length, you may have to hold the stroker away from you a bit.

The deconstructed pump

Using the toy takes some getting used to. The plastic nubs on the inside of the sleeve are very firm, not soft or flesh-like at all. It’s not unpleasant, but definitely requires a lot of lube to feel good. The suction is very good with a strong seal, meaning you have a lot of control of how much suction you want, from not much at all to a lot. The vibration also has good range, though the vibe isn’t placed in the best of places… the vibrator bullet is at the end of the sleeve, so its vibrates that more than your cock. The same goes for the “stroking action”. The stroker just pushes the vibe in and out, which stretches the sleeve up and down a little but doesn’t give any real grip to the stroke. All that said, if you use the Stroking Power Pump as an actual stroker instead of the marketed “hands free” device, it does actually work pretty well. The suction, vibe, and “stroke” action all work together to create a really unique feeling in a stroker. Compared to one of my standby favorites, the Fleshlight, the Fleshlight has superior texture, but the suction and vibrations of the Stroking Power Pump are a very worthwhile experience.

Most male toys are a royal pain to clean, and this one is no different. The sleeve comes out for easy cleaning, but the vibrator bullet is extremely, extremely difficult to clean as it is fixed to the toy and is not removable. I had to use quite a few paper towels and isopropyl alcohol on the inside tube before I was comfortable with the cleanliness. Not easy at all to get any residual lube (etc) out. Reattaching the sleeve to the bullet is an exercise in futility and frustration. There’s no easy way to slide the sleeve over the bullet, unless you happen to have several wooden dowels lying around to help you, and even then it’s a lengthy, precise operation.

Overall the Stroking Power Pump is enjoyable, but does not live up to the “hands free” marketing. It also suffers from being a pain to clean and even more of a pain to put back together. If I can’t easily clean a toy, I’m really loathe to use it or recommend others buy it, I really expected more. I give it a 2/5 rating – if you have an excess of money, go right ahead, but there are better ways to spend it.
