Review: FunFactory Amour

I have a few FunFactory toys, but mostly vibrators besides the Share XL, so I really wanted a regular dildo from them.  When Babeland offered up the Amor Stubbs to review, I nabbed it.

The Run Down:

  • Toy Type: In-ie
  • Manufacturer: FunFactory
  • Materials: Silicone
  • Size: 5.5″ long, 1.5″ in diameter
  • Price: $40.00
  • Pros: Nice fleshy texture; Great curve; Firm enough but still some give; Good size (not too big or small); Nice base so safe for anal and strap-ons; Will stay in place on most flat surfaces
  • Cons: Box isn’t very discreet and a little large; Bottom attracts a lot of lint
  • Overall Rating: 4.5/5
  • Recommended: Yes

The package (see how short it is inside?)

The packaging the Amor comes in is pretty basic FunFactory packaging.  The dildo is in a plastic shell inside of a cardboard box.  You an see the dildo inside the box so it’s not particularly  discreet.  I did find that the package was much shorter than the actual packaging, I suppose it was FunFactorys lazy way to use the same packaging for multiple sizes of dildos.

The dildo in my hand

The Amor is 100% silicone and the texture is like no other toy I have felt before.  To me the texture feels soft and fleshy.  It does create a good bit of drag though, so be sure to use a nice water based lube with it.  FunFactory also includes a sample packet of their toy fluid which is great to use with the Amor.  The shape is also very nice.  There is a slight curve to the toy and it has a bit of a bulbous head.  It’s semi-realistic looking, but not too much.  I don’t care for realistic looking dildos, but this one is just right.  It’s 5.5″ in total length with about 5″ being insert-able.  The Amor is 1.5″ at the widest near the base but is close to 1.25″ for the rest of the shaft.  It does have a nice taper so I have yet to find insertion difficult.   It’s also medium firm silicone.  It’s soft enough to have a bit of squishy give to it but it is firm enough to provide some nice g-spot stimulator from the curve.

The dildo sitting on a surface

The base on the Amor is pretty unique.  It’s a triangular shape and works well in a harness as well as for anal play.  The bottom of the base is also a differnt texture and has a much higher drag than the rest of the toy.  Because of that, it actually sticks pretty well flat surfaces.  Not that it would hang upside down mind you, but if you had a surface to set it on, it would probably stay very well while you ride it.  This does annoy me a bit, as it does attract a ton of lint and hair, but just on the bottom so it’s not too much of a bother.

Overall, I really like the Stubbs Amor.  It’s a nice size and the texture is unique.  Plus the curve is very nice and I do want to try this out in a harness.  It’s not too floppy to use for pegging either.  You can get the Amor in pink, black, or Babeland even carries a Rainbow colored one that I really want, which is a bit more, but I think it’s totally worth it for a rainbow dildo.
