The condoms in the tray

What really attracted me to the Try Me set is that it’s a set of 12 condoms that come in small individual boxes. All of the boxes are situated in a tray.  Each little box has it’s own sexual position on it.  I thought it was very cute and a neat idea.  That is until I remembered I don’t put my condoms and other sexual items on display.  I keep my condoms concealed in my bedside drawer and the tray just doesn’t fit.  You can stack the small boxes, but they take up a lot more room than the condoms themselves.  I ended up tossing out the tray.

Individual box

Each condom box has a unique position on it with it’s name.  It also has a little place to fill in the stars to rate the position as well as a link to rate the degree of difficulty online.  I found it a little redundant that each box says that it contains “1 premium lubricated latex condom”, I think that’s the idea of the set.  The back of each also says the same thing.  It lists the expiation date as well as some information on condoms.  For the most part most of the positions seem do-able (bad pun, sorry), but there are a few that seem a little difficult such as “the bird feeder”.

Condom packet

Inside the box there is an individually wrapped condom.  The front says “ooo” do it with style. and the back says the standard condom information.  I think the condom packs are attractive.  They’re very simple, which is all a condom wrapper needs to be.

The condom on a toy

The condoms themselves are okay as far as condoms go.  I waited and waited to review these just because I wanted to actually test them on a partner instead of just a toy and well, that didn’t happen *sad panda*  So I broke down and put one on a toy.  They do seem to feel very thin, thinner than average at least, so I think most guys will like that.  They also have a reservoir tip and don’t smell strongly of latex.  They are lubricated and the lubrication on them feels very oily.  It stays on my hands after I touch it and I have to wash my hands to get it off.  It doesn’t taste bad, besides tasting like the latex itself.  One thing to note, these are latex condoms, so I would not use an oil based product with them or use them if you have any sensitivities to latex.

Overall, I found the Try Me Gift Set to just be average.  It’s a cute set, but it’s not very practical, especially for storage.  It would be great to give a couple going on their honey mood or for an anniversary present.  I also find the price to be a bit high for 12 condoms. The condoms themselves are pretty much the same as condoms from Durex or ONE, which are much cheaper.  If I were to need to buy condoms, I would not buy these for myself to use just because of the price.  If you are looking for a gift though (and well this is a gift set) I think these would be great for that.  Otherwise, I’d stick with something cheaper that’s just as good.
