Review: System Jo Atomic Clit Gel

Today I decided I’d review another one of the System Jo Products that True Pleasures sent me.  I was really excited to try this one too, but was only disappointed.  I’m reviewing the System Jo Clitoral Gel – Atomic.

The Run Down:

The package and tube

The small tube of the Clitoral Gel comes in a small cardboard envelope.  I would have taken a picture of it but it seems to have disappeared.  The envelope is not that sturdy and when I tossed it in a bag it popped open and the tube came out.  If you want a place to store the small tube, the package is not really a great place for that.  The tube itself is a small 10 cc tube.  It says “ATOMIC” on the band near the tip.  It’s not that discreet, but it is a small tube so it’s easy to tuck away in a drawer.  The ingredients are listed on the back of the tube.  I believe the ingredients as well as instructions were also listed on the package, if I ever find it I will let you guys known.

This clit gel is something I had been wanting to try for a while.  I was disappointed when I got it and read the ingredients to find out that it is silicone based.  On System Jo’s website they boost that it is the only silicone based stimulating gel.  However, most of my favorite clit toys are silicone which means I cannot use them with this gel.  That was very disappointing for me.   Online it says that it is condom safe as well as pH balanced, hormone, and L-Arginine free.  L-Arginine is in many stimulation products and may cause issues with those with genital herpes.

Also listed in the ingredients are peppermint and capiscum.  With both of these ingredients I really expected a strong sensation.  It states that the Atomic version should give “ultimate stimulation” with both a warming and tingling feeling.   My first application I used just a few drops, I was a little worried about how intense this would be.  I think I actually had something on hand to wipe it off if it was too much for me.  The directions say to massage 1 to 2 drops into the clitoral area and sensation will begin to occur within 1 minute.  So I put it on and laid there and waited.  And waited. Oh wait is that a tingle?!  Nope.  So I put a little bit more on.  Still nothing.  I’ve tried it several times and only once or twice did I even get a hint of tingling or warming.  But a hint does not lead me to believe this product could be considered “atomic” by any stretch of the imagination.  Some other products that I haven’t noticed any stimulation with will still at least make me a bit wetter, but not this stuff.  I also didn’t notice that it increased my “sexual sensitivity”.

Aside from it being a complete fail in the stimulation department, it’s also not a gel.  It’s very liquid and if you use more than a drop or two, it will run off your fingers before you have a chance to massage it in. You also don’t even need to squeeze the tube to get any out, it will run out on its own given the chance.  I feel like it may also leak.  It seems as if my tube is missing a lot more than I recall using, but I haven’t seen any spots where it’s leaked onto. Most other products, especially those with peppermint, do have a peppermint smell to them but this only does if you put it on your fingers and hold it right to your nose.  The silicone does give it a nice slick feel though.

Overall, the System Jo Clitoral Gel Atomic is not worth your money.  If the atomic doesn’t give me any stimulation, I’d hate to spend my money on one of the lower levels of intensities.  I really want to say that maybe this was a bad batch, but another friend has tried this as well and said she did not get any sensation out of it either.  Online it says that 99% of women who use this product will see results, but I really don’t think that’s true.  My clit is very easy to please and is quite sensitive to peppermint and this ‘gel’ left my clit very disappointed.  I hope that the reason it is currently unavailable on the website for purchase is because they’re trying to fix it to actually work.

  • I so had the same experience with a similar product mine was the medium one and not a single twitch. Totally wasted 20-25 dollars however much it was. My local adult store employee recommend it. He said people keep buying it and saying great things I on the other hand didn’t feel a thing.

  • I can’t say that I’ve had many clit creams/gels work except Cleopatra’s secret. The others either burned like a mug or didn’t do anything; no happy medium. Thanks for the review on this one so I don’t waste my time!
